As a Software Test Engineer here atHoneywell Smart Energy & Thermal Solutions (SETS)you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of our products through rigorous testing and analysis. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and execute test plans, identify and troubleshoot issues, and drive continuous improvement in our testing processes.
You will be working on a team that develops, deploys, and maintain electronics manufacturing test systems. These test systems are responsible for testing the printed circuit board assemblies that go into Honeywell’s Smart Metering products.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Your expertise in SQL Server, C# language, and Visual Basic will be instrumental in developing and maintaining automated test scripts and tools.
• Develop and execute test plans and test cases to ensure product quality and functionality.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and troubleshoot issues and drive resolution.
• Develop and maintain automated test scripts and tools using SQL Server, C#, Phyton, and Visual Basic.
• Oversee testing activities at contract manufacturing sites, ensuring compliance with quality standards.
• Deploy and validate test equipment at the different contract manufacturers in USA, Mex or India
• Analyze test results and provide recommendations for product improvements.
• Drive continuous improvement in testing processes and methodologies.
• May include travel up to 10-25% to contract manufacturing sites to oversee testing activities and ensure compliance with quality standard
YOU MUST HAVE
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as the sciences, technology, engineering or mathematics
• 5+ years of experience in advanced test or software development or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of SQL Server, C#, Python, and Visual Basic.
WE VALUE
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or similar.
• Experience in manufacturing, industrial automation or a related industry is of value.
• Experience in developing and maintaining automated test scripts and tools.
• Knowledge of Flash JTAG testing methodologies is of value.
• Experience with firmware download and flashing microprocessors
• Experience with Database & Server management
• Experience maintaining Computers and Servers
