Job Description
Process & Energy is recruiting an experienced Staff E, C&I Designer duration, based from our offices in Glasgow.
Hybrid working structure with a minimum of 3 days in the office.
The role:
Provide E,C&I Design on projects as required by the Electrical & C&I Discipline Managers / Lead Engineer / Designer as a E,C&I Designer
Execute instrument and electrical design activities (Concept, FEED & Detailed Design)
Carry out Site surveys as required under the project E,C&I Design scope
Assessing the effectiveness of working practices and systems with a view to continuously improving systems
Carry out work in accordance with company and project Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality systems
Maintain the required technical quality of work
Identify scope and schedule changes in accordance with the Change Control Process
Ensure that designs comply with the relevant procedures, standards and regulations
Ensure, as far as practically possible, that all assigned work is carried out in compliance with the agreed budget and schedule
Keep up to date with technical developments, National and International standards and legislative requirements related to the discipline
Responsible for delivering E,C&I design project work scope as required to desired quantity
Maintain good communication with the Client and visit Assets when necessary

Who we are looking for:
Experience with working within a project team as a E,C&I designer and on E,C&I teams across a range of industry sectors. on Small, Medium / Large capital projects from concept to start-up
Be a Self-motivated team player working on own initiative with minimal supervision
Experience with development of E,C&I Design deliverables as required on a project-by-project basis
Good understanding with respect to applicable international codes and standards and their application
High level of competency with respect to AutoCAD 2D (required) and AVEVA PDMS E3D (desirable) software
Experience of managing, checking and delivering of the following deliverables – Cable Block diagrams, Single Line Diagrams, Instrument schedules, Cable and Drum Schedules, Layout and Routing Drawings, Support & Transit Drawings, MTO Schedules, Standard installation details, Termination Drawings, Panel and JB General Arrangement Drawings, Instrument Earthing and Power Distribution Drawings, Hook-up Drawings, Loop Drawings, Workpacks, SOW documents, Label & Ferrule Schedules
Strong understanding of plant design and equipment layout and ability to coordinate with other discipline design groups to progress a joined-up plant design
Liaising with other disciplines as required
Coordination and governance of Electrical and instrument workpacks for high-value engineering centre

Qualifications
Minimum HNC in Instrument and/or Electrical Engineering or related subjectExperience with working on projects for the Energy, Chemicals, Pharmaceuticals and Refining Sectors
