The successful Applications Engineering Manager, Malaysia Semiconductor is a recognized Semiconductor industry leader. Your role is to coordinate a team of Application Engineers from Malaysia and Southeast Asia, using your technical and business skills to ensure customer technical success. Your team will be a trusted technical partner who demonstrate the capabilities of NI’s semiconductor platform to solve ambitious challenges in the hottest new semiconductor applications, including: mmWave, RF FEM, mixed Signal, Power electronics and Optoelectronics.

The APAC Applications Engineering organization is undergoing an exciting evolution. We need a strong leader with industry domain expertise to better serve our customers and grow key areas of the business. The Applications Engineering Manager, will report to the APAC Applications Engineering Director

In this Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

• Customer Technical SuccessDrive design wins, platform adoption and repeat business at key accounts.
• Dynamic Resource AllocationWithin the first 90 days, develop and implement a new process to efficiently allocate AE resources to activities that generate the highest return on investment. The new process should be more efficient and effective than the existing process and result in higher satisfaction from our sales colleagues.
• Technical Domain ExpertiseIncrease the technical domain expertise of the China Semi AE team in the focus applications areas of Mixed Signal, RF, mmWave and Optoelectornics.
• Strategic Account Planning and executionPrepare comprehensive support plans for 100% of NI’s strategic semiconductor industry accounts within managed territory.Collaborate with NI account managers to incorporate support strategies into multi-functional account plans. Implement plans to achieve revenue growth at key accounts.
• High-Performance TeamAugment the team capabilities by attracting, motivating and retaining high performing senior level AE’s. Cultivate a high-performance team culture by achieving > 90% positive team engagement scores and > 95% retention of top talent.

For This Role, You Will Need:

• Bachelors or Master’s degree in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Math), or equivalent experience in the field.
• 10+ years of relevant Semiconductor proven experience in the areas of:RFIC or mixed-signal IC in lab validation and production testingRF FEM, On-Wafer test, IPD, ADC/DAC, LED, MEMS sensorSoftware and system development, including test program developmentKnowledge in wireless protocol: GSM, WCDMA, TD-SCDMA, LTE, WLAN, Bluetooth, NB-IoT, LoRa, ZigBee, …etc.
• Major semiconductor ATE tester platform (V93000, Ultra, J750, Pax, etc)
• 3+ years management experience
• Strong track record of building and leading high performing teams
• Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
• Proficient in English and at least one other key regional language.
• Willing and able to travel up to 25%, primarily within APAC Japan and occasionally the USA

Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:

• Knowledge of NI PXI platform or NI LabVIEW/TestStand experience
