Solution Engineering Manager
YOUR ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
In this role, you will be responsible for Project and Commissioning activities of a water treatment control systems plant based in Singapore. Working in Customer’s Site in Tuas, reporting to the Engineering Manager-In-Project, you will be responsible for the successful delivery for multiple tasks under project on time, within budget, and in line with contract specifications and relevant quality and safety guidelines. The work mode for this role is: On-site This role is contributing to the Process Automation Energy Industries Division of ABB, Singapore. You will be mainly responsible for: • Directly involves in the technical meeting with customer, analyze customer inputs and understand the requirements, such as Technical Specification, IO list, etc. • Raising technical Queries and clarification to customer. • Developing drawing/documentation as required for the project, and work together with lead engineer for document submission. • Together with lead engineer, designing and developing ABB 800xA Object Library. • Developing test plan, procedures and carry out testing • In the absence of lead engineer, able to take the leadership and ownership
QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE ROLE
• You hold a bachelor’s degree in electronic engineering, Control system Engineering or similar
• At least 3 years of experience in DCS System design, engineering, installation and
• commissioning. Experience in ABB 800xA project engineering and commissioning is preferred.
• Ability to demonstrate good knowledge of DCS Control system hardware, power distribution, network connection and IO connection, etc., including cabinet and marshalling design.
• Sound knowledge of engineering techniques, process and tools; experience in Adaptive
• methodology (templates and tools) is preferred.
• Knowledge of fieldbus connection such as Modbus, Profinet, OPC, etc.
• Enhanced knowledge in PLC system, configuration, administration, engineering, troubleshooting, and
• maintenance.
• Knowledge in IT networking, such as IP addressing, router configuration, VLAN setup, firewall
• settings, etc.
• Basic knowledge on Virtualization & Cyber security preferred
