Job Description

Wood is recruiting for a Project Manager for an exciting opportunity to be involved in our growing portfolio of projects and bring new direction and experience to our existing teams. Wood delivers brownfields engineering, procurement, construction, optimisation and technical services to the oil and gas sector and enjoys long-term partnerships with some of the region’s most prominent producers, actively supporting operations in Western Australia, the Northern Territory and South East Asia.
Reporting to the Senior Project Manager, you will draw upon your technical knowledge and problem-solving skills to develop and present engineering solutions addressing Brownfields EPC challenges and acting as an interface to multiple clients.

Responsibilities

In this highly visible role, you will be responsible for:

Specifying and coordinating the implementation and completion of moderate sized projects, a portfolio of small projects and / or major components of large projects
Safe delivery, ensuring quality, schedule and cost targets are met and managing associated risk mitigation
Delivery of project to agreed specifications, managing change and customer relationships and ensuring appropriate reporting and governance is adhered to and controlled
Stakeholder engagement and management
Statement of Requirements throughout the phasing of the project from concept, detail design, and site implementation

Qualifications

Ideally you will be suitably qualified in Engineering from a recognised institution and have a 15+ years of proven experience in the oil and gas brownfields EPC(M) sector in Australia, including 3+ years of relevant experience in a similar Project Management role. It is advantageous if you are a Project Management Professional (PMP), Associate in Project Management (APM) or hold an equivalent certification.
In addition, you will have:

Significant experience in project delivery management 
Excellent communication skills with proven experience in client facing roles
Engineering project management experience with knowledge of Australian and International codes and standards
Proven experience managing risk during design phase and aligned with technical and commercial requirements
Well developed computer skills and knowledge of databases, spreadsheets and engineering programs
A focus on delivering solutions and adept at managing a dynamic environment with varying tasks and changing / competing priorities
