AsManufacturing Engineer, working with the Operations department, you will be performing a variety of engineering activities such as: planning and design of tools, machines and other equipment and industrial processes, and oversee purchase, installation, commissioning, safe and effective operation, release to production and ongoing support throughout the lifecycle of the manufacturing equipment.

In this Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

– Communicate frequently with Production team to understand support requirements.
– Ensure that appropriate process tooling, procedures, and equipment are in place. Develop tooling, procedures, and processes as required.
– Identify capital equipment that will contribute to process and quality improvements, cost reductions, and variation elimination.
– Provide support in identifying and resolving potential safety hazards in the manufacturing area.
– Evaluate and improve the flow of materials/products through manufacturing processes.
– Identify and monitor quality indicators and resolve equipment/tooling design/process problems.
– Implement new products per schedules.
– Review key process performance indicators for potential improvement.
– Assist in developing operator training and qualification programs.
– Initiate process improvement activities through use of statistical techniques.

– Fluent English language skills; verbal, reading and writing.
– Any other additional European languages are an advantage, in particular Dutch.
– Minimum of five years’ experience in a manufacturing engineering environment.
– Knowledge of machining, welding, mechanical assembly, electronics assembly and testing.
– Familiarity with CAD/CAM and micro-computer programming desired.
– Knowledge and experience with hardware and software architecture with fully/semi-automated manufacturing and material handling equipment.
– Strong Project Management knowledge/experience, particularly in manufacturing environments
– Consistent record of Continuous Process Improvement methods (Kaizen, Six Sigma), having improved manufacturing processes by using relevant tools/techniques/eliminating wastes
– Sound knowledge and experience with Lean Manufacturing tools and techniques
– Knowledge and experience with statistical process control and statistical methods to improve manufacturing processesPreferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:
– Bachelor degree in a relevant Engineering field or equivalent experience.
