As an Advanced Systems Engineer here at Honeywell, you will play a critical role in the design, implementation, and management of complex systems and solutions that drive innovation, safety, and efficiency across various industries. You will work within cross-functional teams on cutting-edge projects that transform the way businesses operate. Your expertise in systems engineering, project management, and technical guidance will be instrumental in shaping the future of technology and industry solutions.

You will report directly to our Systems Engineering Manager and you’ll work out of our Clearwater, FL location on a hybrid work schedule.

In this role, you will impact the development and delivery of advanced systems, including hardware, software, and network components. You will provide successful execution of complex engineering projects, implement and enforce security measures and compliance standards, and guide the deployment and configuration of systems. Additionally, you will identify opportunities for process and system improvements and contribute to the optimization of operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Facilitate the design and development of advanced systems, including hardware, software, and network components
• Provide successful execution of complex engineering projects
• Guide the deployment and configuration of systems, ensuring they are installed correctly, tested rigorously, and perform optimally
• Provide technical guidance in identifying and resolving system issues, minimizing downtime, and ensuring systems remain operational
• Work within a diverse team to perform technical execution, technical risk management, requirements management for customer missionizations and new products development for Honeywell Embedded GPS/INS product line
• Interface with the Program Manager, Chief Engineer, Project Engineer, and other Integrated Program Team (IPT) members.
• Perform customer flow-down requirement analysis, feasibility assessment, technical solution development including but not limited to test strategy and architecture development, Engineering test design and development.
• Design and develop System Verification test cases/scripts, and perform testing.
• Design and develop test cases/scripts for Complex Electronic Hardware Requirements.
• Contribute to system design team meetings (SRR, PDR, TRR, CDR, FCA/PCA, TIMs) with internal and external customers.

U.S. CITIZENSHIP REQUIREMENT

Must be a US Citizen due to contractual requirements.

YOU MUST HAVE

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as the sciences, technology, engineering or mathematics
• 6+ years of experience in systems engineering and project guidance
• Comprehensive knowledge in systems integration, implementation, and troubleshooting
• Excellent communication and people-oriented skills
• Ability to work under minimal supervision

WE VALUE

• Degree in Electrical, Aerospace, or Software Engineering preferred, other disciplines considered
• Knowledge of the systems development lifecycle
• 5+ years of related experience in Inertial Navigation
• Experience with MATLAB and Simulink
• Experience with DOORS
• Experience with MBSE
• Individuals that quickly analyze, incorporate and apply new information and concepts.
• Diverse and global teaming and collaboration
• Individuals who are self-motivated and able to work with little supervision, who consistently take the initiative to get things done.
• Familiarity with navigation and sensor products (gyroscopes and accelerometers) and performance
• Ability to adapt dictated by project changes
• Multi-tasking and has the ability to manage a variety of complicated tasks.
• An understanding of data structures to provide analytical problem solving
• Strong team participation and learning skills
