Integrates new architectural features into existing infrastructures, designs cyber security architectural artifacts, provides architectural analysis of cyber security features and relates existing system to future needs and trends, embeds sophisticated forensic tools and techniques for attack reconstruction, provides engineering recommendations, and resolves integration and testing issues. May collaborate with external entities including law enforcement, intelligence and other government organizations and agencies.

In this Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

Security Operations

• Coordinate, Support and improve Emerson`s global security services.
• Implement and support Emerson`s global incident response process.
• Perform routine auditing of systems configuration compliance with established build standards. Verify changes are in accordance with change control management.
• Close tickets related to Security Service Operations Issues or Requests.
• On call monthly rotation to cover severity one and two incidents/requests
• Support Service Operations 24 x 5 including on call
• Willing to work extended hours on an as needed basis

Continuous/ Process Improvement

• Ensures the technology and architectural roadmap of engineering is accurately aligned with and supports the product/business roadmap.
• Works with the IT Enterprise Architecture group to define and manage the infrastructure for the enterprise and identifies major areas of development.
• Proactively searches technology trends of the product; identifies and markets applicable user of the product and it’s components.
• Must be willing and able to travel to remote Emerson locations for periodical training

Service Delivery/Enablement

• Automate the gathering, parsing and reporting of security events from various components including firewalls, proxies, intrusion detections systems, host based intrusion prevention system, virus protection systems.
• Participates in various IT projects and intended to continually improve/upgrade the infrastructure, such as evaluation of new software and hardware required to meet a business need or to make a process more cost effective.
• Proactively searches technology trends of the product; identifies and markets applicable uses of the product and its components.
• Responsible for determining product delivery and deployment dates for new products releases, feature and maintenance releases and regular corrective service or service pack releases; May lead major releases and ensure feature enhancements
• Act as a technical consultant to the enterprise and leads research and prototyping of innovative technologies and products.

For This Role, You Will Need:

• 3 years of experience of related experience in IT including security and project(s).
• Security related certifications are a plus but not required
• CompTIA Network +,
• any scripting certification,
• Software distribution certification,
• ITIL,
• Security CompTIA,
• Windows/Linux System Administration

Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:

• BA/BS in Business Administration, Information Technology or related area
• Security related certifications are a plus but not required
• CISSP, GCIH, GREM
