Project Engineer – Recorders

We have an opportunity for aProject Engineerto join ourAerospace Technologies Engineeringteam in Brno.

How will your role look like?

You will have an opportunity to guide and oversee airborne system development, allowing you to specialize in an exciting niche within the aerospace engineering field and build up unique subject domain expertise (flight recorders – cockpit voice recorders and flight data recorders), which in past helped to shape and improve safety of air traffic.

In this positionyou will be given an opportunity to grow your technical skills, interact with multiple different stakeholders (engineering, business teams, suppliers, customers and other partners) In addition to daily technical tasks, you will be encouraged to think out of the box and come up with new ideas and or approaches how to grow our recorders business. From the short/mid term perspective you will grow into Engineering Product owner role, who will have design authority over complete Recorders portfolio.

As a member of theFlight Recorders engineering teamyou will participate on development of new generation of flight recorders (black boxes). Your main responsibilities will be split between Project Engineering, customer engagement, status reporting, and operational excellence improvements.

This is a hybrid role, 3 days at the office + 2 days work from home model.

Key responsibilities

• Manage projects using project management tool (MS Project, Accolate, SAP, …)
• Define project schedules, milestones, budgets, oversight and track project execution against schedule and budget
• Submit Capital projects, provide monthly project updates.
• Track project KPIs
• Communicate issues with stakeholders/team and actively contribute to their timely resolution.
• Support Recorders COE organization in their initiatives

Key skills and qualifications

• University Degree
• Hands-on experience with managing a software and/or hardware development project
• Experience with project planning using MS Project or an alternative tool
• Interest in being close to development of Aerospace products.
• Enjoy working with data, analyses it and not shy to present it.
• Ability to communicate in English language
