Job Description

Wood is seeking expressions of interest from Workpack Preparers (E&I) with proven Oil & Gas Maintenance experience to join our Operations business in Darwin, Northern Territory. This is anticipated to be a permanent role to support of one of our key clients in the region with start date 1st quarter 2025.
Wood’s Operations APAC (West) business delivers brownfields engineering, procurement, construction, maintenance, optimization, and technical services to the Oil & Gas sector and enjoys long-term partnerships with the region’s most prominent producers located in Western Australia, Northern Territory and Southeast Asia.  

Responsibilities

Reporting to the Construction & Commissioning Manager, you will have prior commissioning experience within an EPCM engineering environment with both onshore and offshore scope of works.Your responsibilities will be:Prepare all necessary documentation for work packs, including job scopes, technical specifications, drawings, risk assessments, and safety proceduresReview and ensure the accuracy, completeness, and compliance of all documents included in the work packs, adhering to industry regulations and company standardsCollaborate with project managers, engineers, and field personnel to collect relevant information and confirm that work packs meet operational requirements and timelinesAssist in project scheduling by preparing work packs in accordance with project timelines, ensuring timely distribution to relevant teamsEnsure all work packs include the necessary safety and compliance documentation, promoting a culture of safety within the organizationProvide support and training to junior staff and team members regarding work pack preparation processes and best practicesAt Wood you will join an inclusive and diverse global community of inquisitive minds and recognized industry innovators, partnering to create new possibilities.

Qualifications

You will be an Australian citizen or be eligible to hold Permanent Residency (PR) to work lawfully in Australia.  Those with visa applications already in progress are also encouraged to apply.What will set you apart will be you are currently based in Darwin / willing to relocate to Darwin.Ideally you will be suitably qualified Electrical & Instrumentation engineer` from a recognized institution or tertiary qualification will also be considered along with 5+ years of proven experience in the Oil & Gas sector in Australia working within multidiscipline fields.In addition, you will have:A demonstrated commitment to safety Exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills – both written and verbal Previous experience in a role of commissioning engineering and coordination working in a project multidisciplined teamDemonstrated supervisory and administration skills necessary to organize and manage large project scopesWell-developed computer skills and knowledge of databases, spreadsheets, and engineering programsAbility to maintain composure under pressure, while delivering within a challenging and complex environmentA “solutions mindset” embracing innovation and an agile approach to project delivery and team leadershipIt takes an inclusive and diverse global community of inquisitive minds to unlock solutions to tomorrows most critical challenges. Wood encourages Australian Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples to apply. If you are an experienced Workpack Preparer (E&I) looking to be part of a global leader in consulting and engineering and be based in Dawin – join our Talent Community today!
