Job Description
Wood is currently searching for a talented Engineering Intern (Structural, Mechanical, or Petroleum) to support our Subsea group in the Houston, TX office. The Engineering Intern will assist Engineers & other Group personnel in developing and delivering work scopes. The internship duration is expected to be 10-12 weeks. Due to the nature of the role, Wood will be considering local, qualified candidates first (Wood will not assist in relocation).

Responsibilities
Assist with the performance of design / concept & engineering of the project solutions
Assist with the preparation and checking of engineering reports and procedures
Interact with department members to ensure that work is produced and issued in a timely manner and project information is distributed amongst them
Contribute to lessons learned exercises
Establish good rapport and build relationships with peers and clients by responding to requests and communicating information in a timely manner
Comply with all company policies including safety policies.
Qualifications
Working on Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Structural, Petroleum or Mechanical);
Previous internship experience in Oil & Gas a strong asset
Excellent communication (written and spoken) and interpersonal skills
Excellent time management skills, with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks
Strong analytical and trouble shooting skills
Ability to work in a fast paced and flexible environmet
