This is an Onsite role in Mason, OH

The Project Senior Software Engineering Supervisor reports into Engineering Manager and is ultimately responsible for successful engineering execution and engineering management of the assigned Customer project’s completion within agreed technical scope, schedule, and budget.

Supports Engineering Manager on driving cost, right tools and processes and value engineering

Key Responsibilities

• Assist Project Engineering Manager on Define process that includes but not limited to: Presale support, Turnover to Estimation, Turnover to Implementation, Engineering Phases, Commissioning Support, Go-live support, and Turnover to customer.
• Support productivity metrics for the Project engineering department such as: On Time Delivery, Project Deliverables
• Ensure project budgets sold with adequate scope by coordinating with C&E to ensure quotes are accurate and concepts/scopes are reviewed and clear.
• Ensure project budgets are maintained by tracking and reviewing the schedule, resources, and expenditures throughout the project lifecycle.
• Tracks AS-Sold vs AS-DESIGNED vs AS-BUILT scope throughout the project lifecycle and documents any changes as risks/opportunities. Create documents for change orders during a project lifecycle.
• Assist the Project Engineering Manager in the insurance of standards (product and process) are kept current and are followed by the team.
• Develop and enhance the work processes and procedure as required.
• Senior Supervisor is responsible to have seamless operations maintaining KPIs under control (Billability, Over Time, forecasting like Say/Do, ETC (Estimate to complete), EAC (Estimate at Completion), but not limited)
• Senior Supervisor is self-driven, requires minimal supervision and has autonomous problem-solving capabilities.
• Assist the Project Engineering Manager in the execution of project engineering tiered accountability MOS on weekly cadence to ensure timely management of issues and escalations among the project execution team.
• Assist Project Engineering Manager to define Project engineering skillset required by the engineering team to execute and complete automated supply chain projects by supporting on identify skill gaps and niche skills, to develop plans to align project engineering skills
• Manage department engineers effectively, maintaining open communication.
• Drive issues, changes, and improvements as required to improve the department and project execution.
• Define and track performance measures for engineering projects.
• Ensure effective communication with all disciplines and cross functional groups within the organization.
• Monitor and drive engineering standards and ensure alignment with product teams and cross-functional teams.
• Manage internal and external customer communications, expectations, and conflicts.
• Support the customer through acceptance testing and escalates roadblocks and ensures issues are being resolved and technical risks are mitigated.
• Ensure project teams work with quality/safety procedures. Responsible for adherence to HSE Policy and Guidelines.

Ability to travel to site for supervision and customer PR up to 25% of time.

You Must Have

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
• At least five years hands-on experience in distribution center material handling system, including PC controlled conveyers, merges and sortation sub-system
• At least four years’ experience supervising or leading a technical team.
• Ability to travel to site for supervision and customer PR up to 25% of time.

We Value

• Deep knowledge in C++, C# and/or Java programming under Windows and/or Linux.
• Deep knowledge in RDBMS, e.g. MS SQL, Postgres or Oracle.
• Knowledge in SVN (Subversion) and GitHub source control.
• Experience with Profibus, Ethernet, EtherCAT is a plus.
