ABOUT THE ROLE

TheSr Advanced Systems Engineerwill function as a technical resource to assist in design, proactive problem identification and solution proposal while handling requests from internal teams and customers.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Operate, maintain and design services relating to network, data and infrastructure within our data centers and cloud network
• Troubleshoot to resolve complex network, system and database issues
• Configuration management
• Anti-virus systems, backup & restore solutions, system management
• Design, develop, and implement advanced systems solutions based on customer requirements
• Work with cross-functional teams to ensure successful integration of advanced systems
• Conduct system testing and testing to validate performance and functionality
• Provide technical expertise and facilitate to internal and external stakeholders
• Stay updated with industry trends and emerging technologies to drive continuous improvement
• Hybrid Work Schedule Note: For the first 90 days, New Hires must be prepared to work 100% onsite M-F
• Travel: up to 40%
• Reports to: IT Manager

U.S. PERSON REQUIREMENTS

Due to compliance with U.S. export control laws and regulations, candidate must be a U.S. Person, which is defined as, a U.S. citizen, a U.S. permanent resident, or have protected status in the U.S. under asylum or refugee status or have the ability to obtain an export authorization

MUST HAVE

• 10+ years experience in networking, scripting and system admin domains
• Experience with anti-virus systems, backup & restore solutions, system management
• Excellent troubleshooting skills to resolve complex network, system and database issues
• Linux/Windows System and VMware experience
• Experience in LAN/WAN architectures & related diagnostic tools (LAN/WAN and protocols including Ethernet, TCP/IP, VLAN, WLAN, Firewall, DMZ, VPN TCP/IP protocols)
• Experience Network Security (e.g. Firewall, ACL, Modbus)
• Significant experience in Cisco/HP/HUAWEI Routers, Switches, or Firewalls
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as the sciences, technology, engineering or mathematics

WE VALUE

• Certification in VMware, Microsoft, Cisco, Elasticsearch, Networking, Security or Linux
• System Administration and Database experience
• Object oriented programming languages, scripting experience
• Experience with programming / scripting (i.e. PowerShell, Bash, Python, Terraform, Ansible)
• Knowledge and experience in monitoring tools and reports, general Windows Active Directory or LDAP experience, stored procedures and database queries/reporting and backup/recovery technology
• Strong communication skills to work with a collaborative cross-functional team of peers and departments within the company
• Expert troubleshooting skills – able to combine big-picture thinking with tactical direction
