The Senior Project Manager supports the respective Project Director in planning and executing contracts for the design and construction of new nuclear power plants, including managing the quality, cost and schedule of the execution process. Additional focus includes project administration and configuration management of project documentation to assist the Project Director.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Be responsible for on-time project delivery, profit & loss accountability, and customer satisfaction through management of project related activities and resources
• Assist Project Director in organizing project cost structure in Oracle ERP
• Participate in customer, internal, and/or supplier project kickoff meetings and support the Project Director with preparation & coordination of customer, internal, and/or supplier kickoff meetings
• Develop and maintain a project roster including assigning and monitoring timely completion of project related training activities
• Develop and issue the Project Management Plan and related project plans and project procedures; facilitate the implementation of project plans and project procedures across the larger project team
• Support the development and deployment of project infrastructure and project tools
• Ensure compliance with Canadian export control and other requirements as applicable
• Support coordination of project activities; monitor and control progress on project deliverables
• Ensure the conformance of project deliverables with contract and project requirements
• Organize and archive project correspondence and records consistent with Project Configuration Management Plan
• Lead, draft, and issue project management meeting notes, action item lists, and project progress reports

Required Qualifications

• Rotating Equipment Services Experience: Minimum 10+ years of supervisory experience in the construction industry are required. This experience should include roles such as a site supervisor, coordinator, or a related position where you gained practical knowledge of processes, safety regulations, and codes.
• Project Management Experience: Minimum 10+ years of Progressive experience in managing projects is essential. This requires at least 10+ years of experience working directly in roles where you were responsible for planning, organizing, and overseeing services activities, managing budgets, schedules, and resources, and ensuring that projects are completed on time and within budget.
• Leadership and Supervision: Minimum 10+ years of Experience in leading teams, coordinating the work of various contractors and tradespeople, and ensuring compliance with safety standards and project specifications is crucial. You should have a proven track record of managing complex projects from start to finish.
• Knowledge of Regulations: A strong understanding of local, provincial, and federal codes, safety regulations, and environmental laws is important. Experience in ensuring that all aspects of the project comply with these regulations is often required.
• Communication and Negotiation Skills: Minimum 10+ years of Experience in effectively communicating with clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders, as well as negotiating contracts and resolving disputes, is typically expected.
• Extensive experience in project management within Nuclear Power Industry, with a proven track record of successfully delivering complex projects.
• Advanced knowledge of project management methodologies and tools, such as Agile, Scrum, and PMBOK.
• Strong leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and guide diverse teams towards achieving common goals.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, essential for managing stakeholder relationships and team dynamics.
• Analytical and problem-solving abilities to identify challenges and develop effective solutions.
• Proficiency in budget management and resource allocation to optimize project performance.
