YOUR ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Reporting to the National Sales Director, the Sales Engineer (Segments & Key Accounts) targets, coordinates and executes sales strategies for all focus segments to meet and exceed sales targets by creating added value for the customer and ABB, with a clear focus on increasing market share, profitability, and customer satisfaction. This role is largely focused on the Alberta Energy (Chemical, Oil and Gas) industry and in turn requires focus in technical sales activities surrounding Large (LV & MV) Motors, Generators and Variable frequency drives. • Promote the sales of the entire motors and drives portfolio of ABB, in particular Large Variable Frequency Drives & Large Motors & Generators. • Leading the development and implementation of account plans and growth actions for all target accounts. • Create, implement, and execute sales and account strategies to meet and exceed sales targets. • Monitor market trends and competitor activity, ensuring appropriate action is taken. • Build and maintain strong relationships at all levels with key customers as well as market influencers. • Develop and support synergies with other ABB business lines and develop joint pursuits to leverage existing ABB customer relationships. • Account management: o Ensures that the major accounts in the segments are identified and prioritized. o Maps market requirements and opportunities and coordinates with divisions, sales units, and other relevant teams (such as Group/Strategic Account teams, …etc.) to implement these plans. o Identify, map, convert and onboard new accounts in Alberta.
QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE ROLE
• You have 5 years of relevant sales experience in large motors, generators or variable frequency drives with an Engineering or technical degree or 8 years of relevant technical sales experience in large motors, generators, or variable frequency drives.
• You have a min. 5 years of experience in Energy (Chemical, Oil and Gas)
• You are innovative around energy market trends and end-user account development.
• You are at ease communicating in English.
