We are currently seeking a fluent English-speaking (German or French language capabilities could be beneficial) Sales Development Engineer (m/f/d) to join our dynamic team in Munich, while you will be working with people all across the globe.

As a Sales Development Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in driving business pipeline growth. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Sales, Business Development, Marketing, and R&D, to research and understand different industries and personas. Identify key contacts and decision-makers, qualify business opportunities, and leverage market insights to contribute to closed revenue and quota attainment.
In this Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:
• Daily – mainly by phone – customer interaction around Leads or Prospecting to enhance pipeline & new contact generation for relevant accounts.
• Collaborate closely with Sales Account Managers, Marketing and Business Development teams.
• Develop specialized knowledge in customer applications, trends & industries.
• Propose and implement demand generation strategies based on industry and account insights.
• Report and forecast business impact
• Define and implement prospecting activities with a strong emphasis on business impact.
• Connect Emerson’s value proposition to both new and existing contacts.
• Provide coaching and mentorship within the Global Sales Development team.
• Contribute thought leadership and share lessons learned with the Global Sales & Marketing Team.
• Collaborate with leadership to shape the future strategy of the Global Sales Development team.

For This Role, You Will Need:
• Engineering or MBA background.
• Excellent proficiency in English.
• Sales experience and/or industry experience in Test for Aerospace Defence, Semiconductor, or Transportation.
• Genuine desire to accelerate Emerson’s business growth.
• Proactive, ownership-driven, creative, flexible, strategic thinker, and a hands-on, ‘doer’-approach.
Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:
• German or French language capabilities
• Proven track record in defining strategy for demand generation
• Experience with Emerson’s Test & Measurement Offerings
