ABOUT THE POSITION
We are seeking a dynamic, energetic, and experienced Technical Sales and Business Development Specialist to join our Business Unit, focusing on the Oil & Gas sector in Oman. This role requires a deep understanding & technical expertise of industrial automation and a strong desire to build a career in sales and business development.
Key Roles & Responsibilities:
• Achieve annual sales targets by conducting regular client visits and maintaining active communication with all of INTECH’s clients in Oman to generate new leads and opportunities.
• Convert identified leads into opportunities by developing project scopes and RFQs through discussions and site visits. Ensure timely responses to clients’ queries and RFQs.
• Lead site surveys with the support of the Sales and Engineering team to ensure accurate project scoping for projects that do not have firm RFQs.
• Record all leads and opportunities in the CRM with complete and accurate information, and develop a project pursuit strategy for assigned projects that are strategic and larger in scope and value.
• Engage with Decision-making Units (DMUs) for all clients and projects to ensure smooth project awards and execution.
• Read all RFQs and site survey reports, and lead the proposal strategy by assigning weekly tasks to the Proposal team across multiple projects. Provide technical leadership and direction to customers and Proposal teams by developing fully integrated solutions to clients’ identified problems.
• Communicate with all relevant vendors and OEMs during the bidding stage to ensure timely and competitive bidding.
• Support the NG Front Office and Back Office Project Execution teams in their projects through effective liaison and smart communication with clients.
• Conduct regular internal sales strategy meetings to plan, forecast, strategize, and build the project pipeline for the current and upcoming years.
• Maintain competitor intelligence by regularly networking and meeting industry professionals. Build professional relationships with clients, vendors, subcontractors, and Front Office OPS team members.
• Conduct business development activities by visiting new clients and completing pre-qualification processes.
REQUIREMENTS
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, specializing in Electrical, Electronics, Computer, Software, or Mechatronics, is required.
• At least 6 years of hands-on experience in Industrial Automation, with expertise in Control Systems and Instrumentation.
• Strong technical background with the ability to serve as a consultant and advisor to clients.
• Excellent presentation and communication skills, proficiency in English, and strong networking and relationship management abilities for effective interaction with clients, partners, and internal teams.
• Self-motivated, results-oriented, tenacious, with a pleasant and friendly personality, passionate, and with a proven track record of achieving and exceeding goals (must be a high performer in some domains).
• Ability to work in uncertain scenarios, develop multiple strategies, and execute them in parallel.
• Ability to perform under pressure and meet sales quotas and targets.
