Our Services & Connectivity SATCOM team in Brno is looking for our future colleague who enjoys working with wireless communication technology.

We are shaping the future of satellite terminals for airplanes and UAVs. You will support satellite terminal development as a RF Test engineer by performing various types of integration tests, RF performance test designs, and data analysis. You will need to learn lots of new skills related to radios, radio certification, aspects of aeronautical operation environment, and satellite network operation under tutelage of our experienced engineers. Eventually you will become an experienced engineer in our satcom aerospace product portfolio – look for “ASPIRE”, “Jetwave” or “Small UAV Satcom” on the web for details.

Key responsibilities

• Editing specifications for test, and test equipment design, selection of key RF components with respect to performance, availability, and limitations
• Performing lab testing, measuring, integrating, and troubleshooting of the test infrastructure with respect to the airplane satellite modems, amplifiers, and antennas
• Learning, reading, trying, and figuring out how to get tasks done
• Present and rationalize work results to English speakers
• Helping company colleagues around the globe at the same time as they will be helping you

Key skills and qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering field
• English fluency at minimum B2 level
• Keen interest in radio communication and/or telecommunication. Ability to calculate in dB, dBm, dBW – level diagrams
• Basic knowledge of RF passive components, measurement technology: Spectrum Analyzer, Network Analyzer, Power Meter, etc.
• A passion in finding out how things work. Focus on task completion
