Job Description

Wood is currently recruiting for a Project Controls Manager in Houston, TX to lead the cost, planning, scheduling and risk assessment support to assignments / project teams and clients. 

Responsibilities

Set up and run all required project controls systems, tools, and interfaces to allow successful management and reporting of the project costs, schedule and risks on projects and assignments.Act as the focal point with the client and any contractor Project Controllers as appropriate to ensure costs and progress are reported accurately, ensure alignment with the project reporting requirements, and ensure timely and accurate cost and progress reporting.Development and supervision of project staff and processes related to the implementation of 4D/5D for Project Controls. Coordinate development of project Navisworks model to be used for 4D/5D simulation of project phasing coordination on large projects. Monitor overall project / assignment progress status, achievement and non-achievement of major milestones and analyze performance in relation to plan. Manage the communications interfaces essential for the delivery of cost, planning, scheduling and risk deliverables and services. Produce weekly and monthly project cost and planning status reports. Implement the project Work Breakdown Structure for specific scopes of work. Implement the cost and planning control structures in alignment with the project Work Breakdown Structure.Full time employment, Monday – Friday, 40 hours per week.Multiple positions available.Employing entity: Wood Group USA, Inc.Travel: International travel required up to 10%; Domestic travel required up to 25%.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or a related field and 7 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate work experience in job offered or in a Project Controls Manager-related occupation.Of the required experience, must have 7 years of experience in each of the following:Staffing, managing, supervising, training, and developing the project controls team;Engineering, procurement, and construction execution; andPrimavera Project Management (Oracle P6).Of the required experience, must have 5 years of experience in each of the following:Risk Analysis using software: Primavera Risk Analysis, Acumen Risk, and @Risk; andProject Control Systems and Techniques, Engineering Processes, Safety and Environmental Management, Human Relations Principals, and Total Quality Management.Of the required experience, must have 4 years of experience in each of the following:NavisWorks, Synchro 4D/5D, ePC Works software, AutoCAD 2D/3D, Pertmaster MS Excel, and MS Visio; andManagement of contracts, budgeting, controlling costs, planning, scheduling and management of change.TO APPLY: Click “
