Job Description

The Project Automation Specialist II provides local project support for MasterPlant™ or other enterprise project automation technology. These technical specialists provide any end user project support, project configuration, or special project modifications required.
• Provide technical configuration and office support for the MasterPlant™ technology in conjunction with the office Automation Manager
• Employ effective knowledge sharing behaviors in the use of Fluor’s knowledge management portals and communities
• Work with the Project Information Manager (PIM) to analyze any technical implementation or configuration issues for the MasterPlant™ technology
• Work with the Project Automation Specialist (PAS) to analyze and evaluate the MasterPlant™ technology support and implementation requirements
• Provide client or project presentations as directed
• Provide moderately complex end user office support, project setup and configuration, or special project modifications required for the automation technology utilized
• Other duties as assigned

Basic Job Requirements

• Accredited four (4) year degree or global equivalent in applicable field of study and eight (8) years of work-related experience or a combination of education and directly related experience equal to twelve (12) years if non-degreed; some locations may have additional or different qualifications in order to comply with local requirements
• Ability to communicate effectively with audiences that include but are not limited to management, coworkers, clients, vendors, contractors, and visitors
• Job related technical knowledge necessary to complete the job
• Ability to learn and apply knowledge of applicable local, state/province, and federal/national statutes and guidelines
• Ability to attend to detail and work in a time-conscious and time-effective manner

• Experience in gathering requirements for automated solutions
• Experience in the development of workflows to support project processes
• Perform specializations which may include Project Data Analytics and Project Development Analyst activities
• Proof of U.S. citizenship required

Preferred Qualifications

• Accredited four (4) year degree or global equivalent in business process development or computer science is preferred or equivalent technical experience
• Eight (8) years of experience in project work, Information Technology or Automation
• Good knowledge of Information Technology in: o Desktop/laptop environment and general office tools o Infrastructure (Wide Area Network (WAN), Local Area Network (LAN), telecommunications, etc.) o Electronic security and governance o Electronic communications o Network operations and support o Software development, implementation, and support
• Knowledge of Automation technology and systems integration including: o Good knowledge of workflow development and deploymento Good knowledge of the tool integration capabilities and discipline integration needso IT Change Management best practices
• Vendor certification in Automation/Information Technology/Information Management technologies the position supports (when available)

Salary Range

102,000 to 184,000

Market Rate

The market rate for the role is typically at the mid-point of the salary range; however, variations in final salary are determined by additional factors such as the candidate’s qualifications, relevant years of experience, geographic location, internal pay equity, and prevailing market conditions for the specific role.
