Job Description

Wood is presently looking to hire Principal / Senior Instrument Engineer for our Engineering team in Baku Azerbaijan

Coaching and mentoring as delegated.
Supervision of Graduate Engineers. Provides input to the performance management of direct reports.
Manage and supervise direct reports.
Adhere to and comply with relevant discipline specific Procedures and provide feedback for continuous
improvement.
Participate in audits and incident investigations as required.
Technically competent in own discipline and actively maintains own competence according to standards and
pursues continuous professional development.
Provide discipline support to the business
Ensure self awareness of relevant regulatory framework, legislation changes, initiatives and industry technology
developments and promote to direct reports.
Provide discipline input to scope definition and execution
Deputising for Principal as required.

Responsibilities

Supporting and supervising tasks delegated to direct reports.Executing assigned personal objectivesManagement of third party suppliers in the execution of Engineering deliverPERFORMANCE INDICATORS (INDICATIVE):Agree personal career development plan with Lead EngineerEnsure personal performance management progress including continual professional development.Competency profile attainment against plan.Effective delivery of assigned work scopes in accordance with Engineering & Design Process and Procedures.Effective implementation of assigned IMPACT actionsInternal:Establish and maintain effective working relationships and communicate across the project/contractinterfaces.Engage with inter-discipline Community and promote Discipline including: Networking/knowledge sharing.External:Establishing and/or maintaining an awareness of external stakeholders including: Industry bodies,academia, vendors, client interface (as appropriate and requested).

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:MSc, MEng or equivalent professional qualificationBSc, B.Eng or equivalent with relevant considerable experienceChartered Engineer or recognised equivalentMinimum Experience:Demonstrable balance of industrial experience at relevant level and position.Job-Specific Skills:Intellectually capable, can substantiate the ability to apply theory in a practical contextProfessional demeanour, interpersonal skillsAble to demonstrate team working skillsEnthusiastic, conscientious and keen to learnFlexible with a can-do attitudeGeneral * Demonstrably practice Company Core Values and compliance with Ethics Policy.
