Join Vernova Electrification Software as a Pre Sales Solutions Consultant, where you’ll be responsible for activities and processes that help the sales organization achieve our business objectives. GE Vernova – Electrification Software delivers mission critical industrial software to connect producers to consumers while balancing and optimizing the grid.

GE Vernova Electrification Software – works with Electric Transmission and Distribution companies, which in addition to their primary mission operating the electrical grid, also operate the Electricity markets. We deliver mission critical industrial software to connect producers to consumers while balancing and optimizing the grid.

In the context of the energy transition and the increasing penetration of renewables energies, grid operators are facing incredible challenges to supply the electricity securely and affordably. In the markets area, this translates into considering shorter time intervals, larger geographies and a growing number of players involved from the wholesale to retail markets. The regulation, through ENTSO-E guidelines and codes, is pacing the change by defining ambitious objectives and implementation deadlines to which operators must comply.

We are now looking to expand our Pre-Sales team with a domain specialist to support for GE’s Market Management Systems solution sales across the Europe Middle East and North Africa region e.g., through software demonstration and technical evangelization, and storytelling how our solutions can meet the demands of the Electricity Markets and accelerate the objectives of a greener energy throughout our region. You will be a subject matter expert representing GE in customer fronting discussions and other external events, collaborating with internal development teams, pre-sales technical teams and commercial sales teams in the business to help build pipeline, drive sales, and achieve or exceed the operating plan.

Essential Responsibilities

You will have demonstrable experience in the Energy Management sector that excels in translating the complex into impactful solutions through ‘day in the life’ storytelling. In this role you will be formulating solutions by:

• Establishing a deep understanding of the Electricity Trading Market and trends for our customers and prospects across the EMEA region, at both the Transmission and Distribution Sectors.
• Performing constant technological and market watch in particular relative to evolutions of market rules for existing markets and introduction of new markets by regulation bodies (ACER, ENTSO-E grid codes and guidelines), capitalize, share and promote content with the Markets communities.
• Capability to translate electrical market standards and regulation and map to the GE product offering
• Becoming the ‘Trusted Advisor’ with our customers technologists and internal GE Vernova team.
• Presenting and demonstrating the GE Digital Market Management solutions at various levels.
• Researching deployed solutions in the EMEA region and build experience to tell impactful stories.
• Supporting the commercial team by participating in the preparation of our technical proposals ensuring it aligns with our customers requirements and value propositions.
• Enthusiastically presenting GE solutions sales forums, industry events, and conferences to increase awareness and drive demand for our solutions.
• Interfacing with the Markets Management Systems Pre-Sales, Services and Markets teams globally, and support building a community to build best practice .
• Leveraging your experience in Market Management systems as solution vendor or a solution consumer to retain and expand market share.
• Becoming the ‘Voice of the Customer’ and interfacing with product management to address their requirements against the product roadmap.

You’re good at

• BSc / BEng (or higher) in Electrical Engineering or equivalent (Masters level a plus)
• Establishing a deep understanding of the Electricity Trading Market and trends for our customers and prospects across the EMEA region, at both the Transmission and Distribution Sectors.

• Leveraging your experience in Market Management systems as solution vendor or a solution consumer to retain and expand market share.
• Becoming the ‘Voice of the Customer’ and interfacing with product management to address their requirements against the product roadmap.
• Knowledge of composable solutions based on Kubernetes (or similar) architectures a plus.
• Proficient in presenting technical solutions.
• A major second European language is a plus.
