Job Description
Are you looking for a position with a stable company that has much to offer? Wood is currently recruiting Plant Operators to join our team based out of Gillette, Wyoming. This position will be responsible for operating a C02 Capture facility to ensure optimum plant performance. Includes monitoring processing equipment, performing inspections and conducting preventive maintenance.
Candidates located in Upton, Sundance, Moorcroft and Gillette Wyoming preferred but not required.
Authorization to work lawfully in the US without sponsorship from Wood is required
Responsibilities
Work schedules are shift work rotating 12 hours shifts
Understand safety procedures and safety mechanisms to ensure safety standards are met, maintained and optimized.
Optimize processing throughout the facility and maintain proper product specifications
Monitor plant equipment and troubleshoot plant issues with solution-based mindsets.
Provides communication to Wood Site Supervisor and client to ensure alignment on process equipment conditions, production targets and facility challenges.
Critical thinking skills while operating facility in relation to incident management.
During times of construction, retrofits, downtime, and other non-operating conditions, seek to help prioritize facility needs to maximize the skillsets of the available team members to achieve the timeliest, safest, cost-effective and best outcomes.
Qualifications
Ability to “adjust on the fly” to changing priorities
Ability to manage multiple priorities
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
Must be able to positively interface effectively with co-workers, 3rd party support and the site management team.
Must be capable of vigorous outdoor activities and have manual dexterity with physical ability to work extended hours, climbing, bending, kneeling, squatting, working with arms extended above the head, twisting upper body, standing for long periods of time on catwalks, working in confined spaces, exposure to extreme weather conditions
Must be capable of working at elevated heights with proper PPE. Ladders and man lifts.
High School diploma or GED
Possess a valid driver’s license
Must have basic computer skills, excel, word, for example.
Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug, background and fit test.
