Key Account Manager, Factory Automation (FA) – Osaka

Role Purpose:

• Develop and implement strategic account plans to achieve sales targets, foster account growth and identify new business opportunities
• Identify potential key accounts in Kansai area and establish plans to convert these key customers through long term direct sales
• Provide technical consultative sales to customers on product application matters

The overall success of this role will rely on his/her ability to communicate with all levels of stakeholders in the Factory Automation market in Japan.

Major Accountabilities:

• Visit machinery customers and system integrators on a daily basis to develop and follow up on various projects
• Promote company portfolio solutions to vertical target customers
• Enhance product knowledge and understand customer pain-points on the applications and provide consultative sales support to customers
• Develop new business opportunities with key accounts
• Market development, classification of customers and maintenance of customer database in Siebel CRM
• Ensure the correct products and services are delivered to customers in a timely manner
• Be proactive to liaise, develop relationship and influence customer to maintain a long-term service relationship, ensure customer satisfaction at high level
• Regular meetings with management team to present project status and market intelligence

Role Requirements:

• Tertiary qualification from a reputable University in Electronics/ Mechanics, Industrial Engineering or equivalent
• Minimum 5 years of sales experience in the automation field with at least one year in a leadership position
• Experienced in sales and providing consultatitve solutions based on customer needs
• Excellent inter-personal, written and verbal communication and presentation skills both in Japanese and English
• Self-motivated, good time-management skills, team player and ability to persuade and influence others
• Ambitious, hands-on and results oriented for responsible KPIs
• Ability to prioritize work items based on business requirements, and effectively escalates issues when and where appropriate
• Excellent organization and multi-tasking capabilities with ability to work autonomously and under pressure
• Computer literate with experience in using CRM system
• Disciplined, trustworthy and able to handle confidential information with discretion
