Job Description

Internships within Lifecycle Services (LCS) provide unique opportunities to develop your engineering, analytical, and customer-centric skills.

As aMercedes Plant Operations Internyou will…

• Be a Rockwell Automation Intern located at a customer plant inVance, Alabama
• Participate in the part check-in process
• Repair information sheets for each core on repair shelf
• Enter repair items into Core Return Tracker
• Conduct part disposition/Investigation
• Use (MB51, IW39, MMBE) to fill in details
• Enter returned date and quantity if applicable
• Review requisitions for repairable items
• Build relationships with plant personnel (i.e., Maintenance Team Leads, Planners, etc.…)
• Gain a better understanding of the layout of the plant
• Keep a finger on the “pulse” of current plant operations (i.e., daily issues, challenges, etc.….) to identify ways our reporting and asset tracking or network of Listen. Think. Solve can assist and build credibility outside of “Core” activities
• Participate in Lean Six Sigma Process Improvement Projects

The Essentials – You Will Have:

• Active enrollment in a four year or advanced degree program at an accredited university
• Legal authorization to work in the U.S. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future

The Preferred – You Might Also Have:

• Met us through an event or interned with us in the past
• A cumulative GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale
• Demonstrated desire to deliver high-quality customer service
• Possess a valid U.S. driver’s license
• Geographically flexibile as relocation is an essential part of the program
• Demonstrated analytical skills and the ability to approach challenges with innovative solutions
