We are seeking a motivated and technically proficient Intern to join our Vibration & Dynamics team. The focus of this internship will be to work on a cutting-edge project aimed at automating the process of generating finite element models for piping systems and generating stress report.

Responsibilities

As an Intern within the Vibration & Dynamics team, you will have the opportunity to:

Collaborate with the engineering team to develop a quick assessment tool that automatically builds finite element (FE) models of piping systems
Implement a Python library that integrates with the Ansys API to automate model generation and stress calculation based on input parameters
Create a user-friendly interface to allow users to select geometry and input data, and generate reports evaluating stress and vibration
Prepare comprehensive documentation and reports for internal use and client deliverables

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you must:

Be currently studying for a degree at a university in Malaysia – ideally studying mechanical engineering, however computer science students willing to learn CAD / CAE will also be considered
Be proficient in Python

Desirable skills / experience:

Scripting or software automation
Knowledge of Ansys or any other CAD / CAE software is preferred but not mandatory (willingness to learn CAE software quickly is required)
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
Interest in vibration analysis, mechanical engineering, or structural analysis is a plus
