Job Description

Major responsibilities

• Take a process leadership role to ensure the methods used by the Industrialization Planning team meet needs and conform to other RA processes (i.e. CPD)
• Manage their INDZ Planners’ development, including goal setting using PADR’s, 70-20-10, and the Suitability Model, and 1:1’s
• Monitor progress to our goals, including inventory to AOP, project schedules, service levels, risk mitigation plans.
• Meet with PMO representatives and BU representatives monthly to manage/understand PLM Supply Chain project priorities and workload across the sub-departments.
• Responsible for CPD milestone go/no-go review ensuring Components, Finished Goods, and Demand Planning is in place to support successful AFC and transfer to MPS. Raise issues to manager for final MS4 approval resolution.
• Hold monthly team meetings with INDZ Planners in their segment to review project status and ensure compliance with established processes, and identifying improvement opportunities to PLM Supply Chain processes.
• Monitor and update metrics for projects in their segment on monthly basis to ensure progress to targeted dates and goals.
• Manage project workload across INDZ Planners in their segment and identify bottlenecks and constraints.
• Help segment work responsibilities ensuring role complexity is appropriate for the position.
• Manage plausibility reports associated with master data owned by INDZ Planning – Follow up with INDZ planners for resolution.
• Support onboarding of new INDZ Planning resources.
• Be a first point of escalation for project issues within the team.
• Work with the Industrialization Planning Manager to ensure department project teams are following the appropriate global PLM processes for NPR, Series change, and PDNs.
• Display courage in dealing with the complexities of people management – criticizes constructively when needed, praise team members publicly and frequently, and handle difficult conversations when undesirable performance or behavior is discovered.
• By identifying possible effects of change for Rockwell Automation and own job and adjusting and working with others to implement changes.
• Take accountability for commitments and deadlines.
• Oversee continuous development and performance; provide and ask for performance feedback.
• Develop and energize people through direct management of your team by sharing ideas and mentoring. Communicate RA’s vision, values and goals.

Education and Experience Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Operations/Manufacturing Engineering/Supply Chain or equivalent.
• One to two years’ experience in Production and Inventory Control, Operations, Purchasing, or Manufacturing Engineering and 1 year working as an Industrialization Planner or equivalent experience in the product lifecycle processes.
• Experience in material control/production planning environment.
• Project management.
• Collaborate across multiple disciplines.
• Independent problem resolution, necessary to be throughout the company and levels, and the ability to manage the requirement of others not directly supervised.
• Global business proficiency and understanding.
• Advanced manufacturing systems planning knowledge – SAP system requirements
• APICS Certification.
• Advanced manufacturing systems planning knowledge – SAP system requirements.
• Scheduling experience in, job shop or flow manufacturing environment.

Travel

You may have limited travel to U.S. and international Rockwell Automation locations.
