We are seeking an experiencedField Technician – BMSto join our HBT Projects team, based out of Sydney, NSW. Reporting into the Operations Manager / Regional Engineering Manager, the purpose of the role is to provide team support and assist other team members in delivery of work to customer sites. It is also responsible for servicing customer sites, maximizing customer satisfaction and minimizing customer site downtime by providing exceptional technical support.
Key Responsibilities
• Responsible for ensuring high quality delivery of services to Honeywell’s clients through management of the technical team and sub-contractors.
• Ensuring effective management of workload, improvement of processes and systems, technician and sub-contractor management, verification of works, client liaison and escalation and working with other areas within Honeywell to deliver high quality service.
• Working with New/legacy systems and remote/mobile tasking to dynamically drive actions and provide recommendations to customers on building performance and comfort improvements.
• Driving expansion on customer sites to other systems not currently under contract. To maximize customer satisfaction and minimize customer site downtime by providing measurable outcomes for our customers through the use of the technology we can provide.
• Service / maintenance / commissioning of Honeywell and third-party equipment (as per trade expertise)
• Configuration, Diagnoses Fault, repairs and Programming of building services (e.g. HVAC, BMS Control, Honeywell and Third-Party Systems).
• Software load and Configuration of Honeywell Systems and other systems as required.
• Minor Project management of projects and small works including high level management of customer and ensuring project milestones are achieved.
• Technical consulting, design and implementation of Honeywell Systems leveraging off your Honeywell and Industry product knowledge to the service business and customers (existing and new). This includes pre-sales support to the account team and technical lead on implementation projects.
Key Experience, Qualifications and Capabilities
• Intermediate to High computer skills
• Supervisor Trade Certificate an advantage
• Electrical or Electronics Associate Diploma or higher an advantage
• Must have a full Australian Driver’s License
• Fault finding and repairs to electronic equipment.
• Instrumentation experience – Knowledge of instrumentation devices and control applications
• At least four years’ experience with Honeywell/Non-Honeywell control systems and products across systems.
• Electrical experience: Basic knowledge of electrical diagrams and electrical switching
• Strong experience in building (HVAC/BMS/Fire/Security)
• Systems including trouble shooting, fault finding and problem diagnosis.
• Commissioning experience – knowledge of DDC / Security / Mechanical plant
