Field Sales Engineer, Factory Automation – New Zealand & South East Victoria

Reporting to the Regional Sales Manager based in Australia, this role is responsible for:

• Supporting an existing customer network with a focus on new business development.
• Achieving sales targets for New Zealand or South East metro and regional Victoria plus New Zealand.
• Create and build upon strong business relationships with the customer base, building effective and sustainable relationships with the primary objective of growing these customer groups:Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEM)Large end-usersSystems integrators

Major Accountabilities:

• Develop/ build new businesses as well as maintain strong relationship with key/ strategic customers in assigned regions
• Identify new market opportunities and determine the most effective and suitable methods of converting those opportunities to sales
• Ensure CRM systems are updated with activities and opportunities in accordance with Company expectations
• Provide reliable and timely activity information through the reporting, monitoring and analysis of trends
• Maintain effective and efficient customer service support using internals Sales Admin team along with Inter-Company support structures
• Achieve and where possible exceed agreed sales targets in accordance with annual Budget projections
• Develop, maintain and nurture viable sales channel and partners

Requirements:

• Tertiary qualifications in Electrical/ Electronics or trade-qualified with proven sales experience
• Sound knowledge of the New Zealand Factory Automation market and demonstrated successful sales achievements to date
• Sales oriented and results driven with a drive for business development and must possess a “Hunter” disposition
• Background in sensors or factory automation highly regarded – and comfortable with conventional applications through to more complex digital solutions.
• Comprehension of our product portfolios and smart sensor solutions will be highly regarded
• Self-motivated individual, a relationship builder, hands-on and leads by example
• A flexible, adaptable and confident communicator
• Positive, energetic and motivated to achieve results
• Autonomous working and self-leadership style is crucial for the success of this role
• Must be comfortable with significant travel schedule to assigned region per business needs
