Job Description

Wood is currently recruiting for a Discipline/System Completion with experience in the oil and gas industry, preferably offshore major capital projects. The position will have a domestic assignment and an international assignment (S. Korea/Israel).
US Only – “Authorization to work lawfully in the US without sponsorship from Wood is required”
PRIMARY FUNCTIONS: Support the SC team with the development of Systems Completion deliverables and execution during integration and commissioning.
KEY OBJECTIVES OF THE JOB: Keen safety awareness and advocacy; multi-discipline technical team leadership, planning and coordination of work within a simultaneous operations environment, having technical expertise relevant to design and operation of assigned systems and liaising with equipment engineers, equipment vendors, construction personnel and operations team members.

Responsibilities

CRITICAL SAFETY RESPONSIBILITIES: Be responsible for understanding and executing Woods’s Safety Policies and Procedures throughout all phases of the project. Personal safety awareness and team safety awareness are necessaryRESPONSIBILITIES:Assist the Commissioning Manager in planning development and reportingDeveloping/ Review detailed commissioning and start-up procedures for assigned mechanical systemsFunction Test Procedure Writing/ RevisionSpares Review (SPIR forms)Tag Quality ReviewTTM specific verificationsPackage check sheets

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS: Candidate should be a motivated self-starter with complex problem solving ability. Excellent communication skills and team oriented personality required to interface with Construction and Operations Teams. A detailed working knowledge of offshore oil and gas processing facilities is required including:Mechanical:Fluent and expert in reading and interpreting P&ID’s, Piping Isometrics and Production Flow DiagramsGas compression equipmentRotating equipmentProcess flow equipment, gas and oil pipeline systemsOperations and maintenance of production facilitiesLeak testing (HeN)Lube oil flushing, chemical flushing of production systemsReport writing and records maintenancePermit to Work SystemProject management skills; cost, time and project scopeOccupational hazards, standard safety procedures and safe work practicesE&I:Instrument/Electrical theory, work methods, tools and testing equipment used in the commissioning of Oil/Gas FacilitiesElectronic TransmittersValve PositionersDC Power SystemsAnalog and Discrete SignalsPneumatic SystemsHart ProtocolProficient in Control Logic SchemesExperience with various PLC, DCS, and Fire & Gas control systemsPLC logic controlsProcess AutomationReport writing and records maintenance.Permit to work SystemCause and Effect logic relationships of equipmentCandidate must be able to manage instrument techs in the coordination of work.Occupational hazards and standard safety procedures.           EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE:10 + years’ experience with at minimum 5 years’ on site commissioning experienceBSc – Engineering (required) in specific disciplineO&G Commissioning and Start-Up/SC Experience (5+ years)Offshore GOM or International Project Experience in Engineering Lead Role
