YOUR ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Metals-based technical know-how in mechatronics, drive technology, control engineering, modeling, and simulation—this is what it takes if you want to kick-start your career with us as an engineer. You will primarily be responsible for: • Modeling and simulation of applications in the rolling mill sector as well as the development of control strategies and applications for rolling mills. • Developing preset and process models for rolling mill processes. • Optimizing and testing preset and process models for rolling mills. • Working in close collaboration with sales and engineering, including expert troubleshooting, identifying the source of issues, and resolving disruptions. You will be part of a talented and creative team, where you will have the opportunity to realize your full potential.
QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE ROLE
• You possess advanced and highly qualified knowledge in MATLAB/Simulink and C programming, as well as in the field of mechatronic systems.
• You have relevant professional experience in the metals industry (with a focus on flat rolling mills).
• You have profound knowledge in control engineering, modeling, and simulation.
• You are enthusiastic and innovative in applying software development methodologies.
• You hold a Master’s degree in mechatronics, electrical engineering, drive technology, or a similar field—preferably with a PhD.
• You are fluent in German and English.
• You are open to occasional international business trips.
