JOB DESCRIPTION

Job Responsibilities

oComplete and release design and documentation changes required to maintain and optimize an existing product offer.

oOversee development and making adaptation of the product definition file:

o3D component modeling

o3D assembly creation

o2D drawing creation

oBOM creation

oManufacturing drawings creation

oSupport on identifying possible suppliers of parts.

oSupport Engineers with the analysis and resolution of problems using methodical problem-solving techniques (e.g. 5 Whys) and tools (e.g. Fishbone Diagram).

oWork collaboratively on cross-functional teams to address quality, performance, and productivity objectives.

oUpdate Design Failure Mode Effects Analysis (DFMEA) documents to reflect product design changes.

oCoordinate prototypes builds at local model shop and assess concept’s mechanical performance.

Desired Qualifications

oTechnical degree in a Mechanical, Industrial, or related field.

o3-5 years of relevant design experience o Familiar with power systems / low voltage equipment

oFamiliar with manufacturing processes (e.g. Metal forming, metal stamping, thermoset/thermoplastic molding, etc …).

oFamiliar with Design for Manufacture and Design for Assembly techniques.

oTraining or experience in the following areas:

oDrawing standards

oGD&T

oTolerance Analysis

oCAD modeling (CREO knowledge a plus)

oCAD modeling (Autodesk Inventor/ Solid Works/AutoCad
