Job Description

Wood is currently recruiting for a Controls Commissioning Engineer E&I) to strengthen our team in Basra, Iraq on a 6 weeks on /2 weeks off rotation cycle.

Responsibilities

Executes the Commissioning activities.
Review and familiarization of Company required scope of work, drawings, project specifications and standards related to Commissioning work and handover scope.
Comply to Company policies and rules and safety requirements.
Accountable for all Commissioning activities and making sure all are duly performed in accordance with the stated procedures, in conformity with the safety rules and as per the project requirements.
Accountable for Commissioning check sheets (ITRs) and follow up on any outstanding punch items.
Be responsible for the supervision of the Pre-commissioning internal and Subcontractors resources and to co- ordinate the specific work scopes.
Review/approval of Commissioning subcontractor project specific procedures, equipment spread and ensure compliance with the required scope of work and specifications.
Attend and participate in project risk analysis meetings, constructability reviews, sessions, operation readiness review, and safety workshops, covering Commissioning activities as required.
Manage all Technical Queries (TQ) and Non-Conformance Reports (NCR) related to Commissioning scope.
Ensure Red Line Mark ups (RLMU) is received, review and close-out per schedule.
Compile and present to department lesson learned for Commissioning activities on the project.
Provide formal and informal reporting of progress and status.

Qualifications

Discipline degree Electrical / E&I or equivalent engineer level qualification.
Experienced Completions Certification Engineer who is conversant with Oil and Gas Construction and CMS processes with GOC 
Minimum of 12 years’ oil and gas industry experience in Brown Field and Commissioning projects
Minimum of 12 years’ oil and gas industry experience in a Commissioning role with a proven technical background
Conversant with relevant international standards and Client Codes or Practice
