Wood is currently recruiting for a Control Room Operator with extensive experience in the offshore control room operations working on a large scale deep water gas production platforms. 
The position is based in the Eastern Mediterranean region, the normal working rotation 4 weeks on / 4 weeks off.Due to the operating standards in the region being aligned to those in the North Sea, experience of working in the North Sea is required. 
Responsible for monitoring and operating all equipment within the Central Control Room (CCR) and carrying out external communications.  
Manage operations and maintenance work activity safely, in accordance with stated requirements and control of work system and provide accurate reporting and recording of work activity and findings.

Responsibilities

Responsible for monitoring and operating all equipment within the Central Control Room (CCR) and carrying out external communications. Manage operations and maintenance work activity safely, in accordance with stated requirements and control of work system and provide accurate reporting and recording of work activity and findings.Monitoring and controlling the remote operation of the subsea wells and production systems, including, performing emergency corrective action as required.Operating in compliance with 30 CFR operating limits, regulations, standards, procedures, and codes.Maintain appropriate records and documents and submit reports as required.Work effectively in a team environment to monitor, log, resolve, and escalate operation and safety issues.Maintain the work area in a clean and orderly condition and follow prescribed safety regulations.As a member of a busy team, actively assist with additional projects as required or requested by supervisor.Operates, maintains, and repairs all facility equipment, quarters and activities on a daily basis which include good housekeeping, parts and material storage, record keeping, shipping and receiving.Operates, monitors, tests, and maintains all process equipment and safety devices from the wellhead to the sales line.Monitors the performance of personnel, wells and production equipment to maximize recovery; Calculates daily rates, complete well testing, and reports production information; Determines gravity of condensate and salinity of water and troubleshooting to deliver the maximum sales quality and quantity of gas, oil and/or condensate to sales line and to discharge produced water containing less than 29 ppm hydrocarbons overboard within the capabilities of the equipment.Mentoring and training of local personnel. Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:A Technical training to Degree, HNC or equivalent qualificationNVQ or SVQ Process HydrocarbonsOffshore BOSIET CertificateJob Specific Skills:Candidates are required to have a number of years previous offshore operator experience. including specific experience of subsea operations and working as a full-time control room operatorDue to the operating standards in the region being aligned to those in the North Sea, experience of working in the North Sea is required. Must be able to support the objective with growing capability of the National Workforce, provide mentoring and training.Experience; Must be proactive in addressing safety issues and mitigating risk within day-to-day operationsCompetent in Functional Safety (Safety Case) requirementsProficient with IEC 61508/61511 and/or Performance StandardsUnderstand the Joule-Thomson effect extensivelyFamiliarity with Turbo-Expansion and Re-CompressionExecuting procedures for Normal Start-up, Planned Shutdown, Unplanned Shutdown, Preparation for Maintenance and Emergency Response.Knowledgeable in both Subsea and Topsides Safety SystemsKnowledge with MEG ReclamationProficient in the following operating conditions such as, not limited to, Flow Assurance practices, working with ultra-low temperatures in Gas Processing, and Hydrate MitigationPersonal Attributes:Must be able to work with other personnel in a multinational environment and work with minimal supervision.Effective communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to communicate at all levelsDevelop-foster effective working relationships with stakeholderBasic computer skills.
