Job Description

Wood is currently recruiting for a PMC Construction Engineer (Telecom) with extensive experience in the oil and Gas industry for ADNOC Onshore site to be based in Abu Dhabi.
 
 

Responsibilities

To facilitate and formulate Construction Supervision, management, coordination, administration and strict enforcement of the Construction scope included as part of FEED/EPC Contract in line with Client’s objective of progressing Work Order completion timely and to project schedule Coordination of the FEED/EPC Contractor from construction through commissioning and handing over of FEED/EPC worksReview and provide input to the overall construction/installation plan, procedures and construction/installation requirements identified in the EPC Packages developed by FEED contractor to ensure efficient constructabilityEnsure the construction/installation plan, procedures and requirement developed by EPC contractor comply with the EPC Scope of Work intent and requirements.Coordinate and assist fabrication works at EPC contractor’s or EPC contractor’s subcontractor’s fabrication facilitiesSupervise, monitor and inspect the work EPC contractor and EPC contractor’s subcontractors at the construction location (or place of manufacture where applicable) in accordance with ADNOC Onshore policy for supervision, quality assurance, control and inspection for the project.Maintain EPC contractor’s adherence to safety, quality and schedule requirements for construction.Participate in identifying Construction slippage and recommend corrective action(s) to be performed by EPC contractorProvide construction input to estimates as and when requiredReview design documents and provide constructability input to designsUndertake visits to facilities/sites to support the development of  construction activities, review designs and liaise with EPC Contractor or EPC Contractor’s Subcontractors Identify any Specialist Vendor Support, Tools and Equipment required to implement scopeInterface with ADNOC Onshore’s Operations groups as & when necessaryTaking part in site surveys and generation of reports where requiredFormulate Construction deliverables in line with Project procedures for content, and accuracyAssist with construction input to Bid preparationDevelopment of Construction requirements for Bid estimatesThorough working knowledge and experience of construction completion procedures & Pre-commissioning activitiesInvolved in Effective Change ManagementLiaise closely with ADNOC Onshore PMT team  on all aspects of design and technical dataCoordinate & carry out required timely Constructability reviews, in line with Model progressionEnsure the required Constructability Readiness reviews are addressed to suit the planned deliverables timingLiaise strongly with Procurement teamfor materials & equipment deliverables for alignment to the overall project schedulesCoordinate with Project controls on the progress of work order issuance, and proposed completion datesParticipate in HSE improvement activities, promoting HSE elements throughout construction development where ever possibleFull working knowledge of construction activities in relation to the relevant disciplineAbility to review engineering design drawings and challenge work content for any improvement / cost effective methodology that can be adopted without compromise to safety. Also to be able to challenge engineering detail for possible areas of where hot work can be reduced/minimised.    

Qualifications

Bachelor of Engineering in related disciplineMinimum 10 years of experience in the oil and gas industry, being in a similar Engineer role for at least 5 years.PMC experience on EPC Onshore wellhead field development projects is highly preferable.
