About the job:

Kent is looking for a Commissioning Leadto be based on-site on Multiple sites across the US covering various client project locations (rotation position).Skills and Responsibilities:

• Leads and directs multi-discipline teams of Commissioning Technicians, Vendors and subcontractors typically with up to 100 personnel in the Commissioning Team.
• Liaises and interfaces with PE’s , CMT , CSU ,, and Operations personnel
• Lead and direct the execution of all multi-discipline Systems Completion activities in the assigned plant area(s).
• Lead all activities within the ISCT matrix organization jointly and in collaboration with Prime contractor(s), vendors, technicians, and other stakeholders.
• Provide overall Systems Completion leadership and expertise to the commissioning team and at Engineering and Construction interfaces.
• Identifies and resolves commissioning issues during Commissioning phase.
• Assures required outcome of static and dynamic commissioning performed by core teams and all related testing by EP and Prime contractors and Vendors including FAT’s.
• Will need to function as a working lead as required by the client.
• The Commissioning Lead provides leadership in the execution of the Systems Completion process ensuring that systems are mechanically completed at Turnover, fully commissioned at Handover, and ready to operate.
• Ensuring Compliance with Project, Standards, Plans and Procedures.
• Support development of Commissioning (Static & Dynamic) Management Procedures and provide input to Start-up and Operating Procedures.
• Ensures appropriate Systems MC, Turnover, Commissioning, and Handover documentation is completed correctly and comprehensively (supported by TO/HO team ).
• Interface with Company Safety Advisor and Contractor Safety Officers to ensure a safe and environmentally sound job area.

In addition to the responsibilities listed herein, the employee may be required to perform other ad-hoc tasks as needed or directed by the supervisor or management. These tasks will be within the reasonable scope of the employee’s skills, capabilities, and role within the organization. The intent of this provision is to allow for flexibility and adaptability in meeting the dynamic needs of the organization, ensuring that operational requirements can be met efficiently. All such tasks will be assigned considering the employee’s current workload and with respect to their professional development.

Your knowledge/skills, education, and experience:
Knowledge/ Qualification/ Training/ Certification:

• College/university degree and/or technical diploma or 15+ years of Project Completion and Operations experience.
• Previous successful leadership role during Mechanical Completion, Commissioning, Start Up and initial plant Operations. Demonstrated management and organizational ability for large teams with strong people skills.
• Expert level technical skills and judgment.
• In-depth knowledge of Project Completion standards, specifications, codes, and appropriate safety criteria.
• Strong understanding of Project execution, Engineering, Construction, Commissioning & Completion practices.
• Strong understanding of work planning, scheduling and tracking.
• Demonstrated work ethic with delivery focus with strong organizational ability.
• Exposure to Oil Company practices, processes, and expectations with respect to Systems Completion, Preservation, Commissioning and Start Up operations.

Communication:

• Read, write, and speak fluent English, especially as required to function effectively within a project team and to communicate with project management, contractors, and sub‑contractors
