Job Purpose:
• Manufacturing & Moulding- The focus of this position is to provide engineering support within a high volume, fully automated manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for the deployment of technical solutions and development of site capability to coordinate and leverage talent and best practices in engineering & technology.
• Process – Working within an assigned value stream with specific accountability for process improvement, providing technical support to solve process issues, and supporting internal and inter site product transfers.
Responsibilities:
Manufacturing & Moulding
• Develops site knowledge on Injection moulding process knowledge, monitors inputs and outputs to the processes, implements and drives equipment/process improvements (Moulding specific).
• Provides support to resolve Injection Molding equipment, systems and process problems (Moulding specific).
• Edits and publishes troubleshooting documentation and training materials for materials, and equipment.
• Strong analytical approach to problem solving and brings innovative solutions to equipment.
• Works closely with other engineering disciplines in the development and application of troubleshooting methods to equipment and processes.
• Identify and lead cost and technical improvements under the departments’ continuous improvement program.
• Project Management – provide timely and accurate reporting on project activities.
• Actively interfacing with cross-functional team members, always practicing good team work in support of day to day operating requirements.
• Develop and maintain a Credo & Behavioral Standards based culture within the group.
• Ensure effective closure on Quality System documents (Audit Actions, NCR’s, CAPA’s, Maps, etc.).
• Implementation of safety/environmental requirements on purchase and changes of all new and existing equipment.
• Work with team leader to develop and implement strategic engineering goals & objectives.
• Support the implementation of all engineering and plant strategic initiatives.
• All employees are responsible for minimising both the Environmental and Health & Safety effects of the work that they perform.
Process
• Responsible for providing a level of technical support within a production value stream and have ownership for the following.
• Ensure the delivery of high quality, new and innovative products to our customers, in a timely and efficient manner across multiple product value streams.
• Planning and co-ordination of projects within a matrix environment.
• Apply troubleshooting skills to resolve equipment, systems and process problems using statistical and analytical methodologies.
• Communicate details of findings throughout the value stream and organization.
• Engage with the appropriate personnel in the identification and resolution of corrective/preventative actions that address quality, technical, and manufacturing issues.
• Understand and apply change control as required.
QUALIFICATIONS
Essential:
• Recent Graduate (2024 or due to graduate in 2025)
• Minimum bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Production, Manufacturing, Polymer Engineering or equivalent.
• Capable of working within a team to achieve results.
• Ability to work on own initiative.
• Strong communication skills.
• Attention to detail.
