Software Application Engineer
We have an opportunity for aSoftware Application Engineer
to join us atHoneywellinBucharest, RO. This is a hybrid role, 3 days at the office + 2 days’ work from home model.
Be part of a team that designs, develops and integrates highly complex application functions in the within Honeywell Performance Materials and Technologies organization. You will participate in the development and certification of product functionality across multiple programs. This will enable you to support new products, processes, standards or operational plans within the organization’s business strategies, with a direct impact on business unit/function overall results.
Key Responsibilities
• Responsible for technical design creation/validation for a given functional analysis
• Responsible to deliver/lead/control within a project team : “code development” & “unit code testing” according to agreed quality standards in order to deliver customized functionality in line with the project scope or change request scope.
• Within a project team, code development will be done by the SW application engineer, custom code development team AND by outsourced development teams.
• Responsible for configuration of Honeywell Smart Energy componentsInvolved in FAT, SAT & UAT testing
• Produce / Support production of specific project documentation (internal/external)Contribute to the overall project SW quality level through peer review & internal training/coaching.
• Participation in setup of necessary system and tools to support SW delivery activities.
• Responsible to adhere to the agreed standards and practices in using the internal SW tools (eg Jira, confluence …)
• Actively involved in migration activities and initial system load activities (master data & historical data)
• Act as development lead for customized code development activities within the project (technical lead role)
• Responsible for release management activities within the project (release manager role)
• Responsible for development coordination of internal and external development resources through agile based, agreed best practices like standup meetings etc.
• Supports the provisioning of customer training services.
