Emerson is currently seeking a Project Manager to work in our Isolation Valve business unit in Houston, TX. In this critical role, you will have the opportunity to optimally lead a comprehensive project team covering quotation, order entry, order engineering, supply chain, and plant project team. Provide input on project performance for large projects in Isolation Valves Business Unit. You will coordinate and own several large, highly sophisticated Tier 3, and multi-national projects. You will showcase project leadership and adopt overall responsibility for projects from quotations to cash. During quotation accountable for the lead-time and comments to the manufacturing specs Be responsible for customer facing communications between all subject matter experts involved in the project
In this Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:
• Planning and Execution:
• Relationship Management: Requirements internally and externally, giving clear direction and requirements.
• Negotiation: influencing/ negotiation internally externally
• Contract Management:Understand Terms and Conditions of contractMinimize exposure to penalties; familiarity with contract law and regulationsWork to ensure costs are managed and wherever possible, that still allows the project to meet customer requirements, action should be taken to avoid costs.
• Financial Performance:Responsible for the improved financial performance of the project (margin uplift)Effectively lead change orders for an improved financial performance of the projectEstablish and run financial targets and metrics for the project with the help of the Project Financial Analyst

For This Role, You Will Need:
• BA or BS degree in Engineering, Business, or related field
• Strong communication, negotiation, and influencing skills
• Experience in successful management of multisite, multi-country projects
• Self starting and ability to motivate a team
• Ability to comprehend technical details/technical literacy
• Ability to remain calm under pressure, acknowledge mistakes, and possess emotional intelligence/diplomacy
Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:
• 3+ years of experience working in a project manager role within the industrial space
• CAPM, APM, PMP or other equivalent project management, certification highly desirable
