Job Description
This position assists and supports others in a department, subdivision, function, or project. The position relies primarily on established policies, procedures, and applicable work practices to make decisions as they apply to the job duties and responsibilities. Under limited supervision this position performs complex diagnostics, repairs, calibrations, modifications, and routine service on a wide variety of facilities and building equipment, systems, structures and hardware, including air handlers, domestic water, chilled water, hot water, steam, humidification, building exhaust, compressed air, controls, lighting, electrical, security systems, fire systems, etc. This position requires the worker to carry a pager twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week (24/7) for emergency consultations and call-ins. This role may provide back-up for the Maintenance Supervisor as directed
• Complete preventive maintenance (PMs)
• Mentor and assist with training of other maintenance technicians
• Acts as a liaison between the maintenance technicians and management
• Assist Maintenance Supervisor in completing administrative tasks
• Ensure stock parts inventory (crib) tracking and withdrawal process is implemented correctly
• Assist Maintenance Engineering
• Identify and recommend proposed improvements to building maintenance systems and equipment
• Provide input on Engineering projects
• Provide data and reports as required
• Maintain a working knowledge of Company specific Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) standards, programs, and goals as applicable to this position
• Conduct borescope inspections.
• Remove and reinstall turbine/compressor components.
• Perform case open (tops off) inspections or repairs of turbine and compressor components.
• Provide specialized consulting services for turbine operations.
• Conduct package inspections and instrument calibrations.
• Replace filters of all types.
• Perform system walkdowns and troubleshooting.
• Execute preventative maintenance, upgrades, modifications, and performance enhancements.
• Instruct [Owner] teams on inspection, repair, and operational insights.
• Review service and product bulletins.
• Collaborate with [Owner] engineering to review and complete projects, including updates and drawing configurations.
• Ensure electronic data storage and review for [Owner] transparency within a 30-day period.
• Familiarize with GEK work packages (GE O&M Tech Manual).
• Demonstrate competency in P&ID and F&ID.
• Utilize work management software programs (Maximo).
• Provide detailed field service reports to [Owner] management following the completion of assigned work (Outage).

Basic Job Requirements
• Accredited four (4) year degree or global equivalent in applicable field of study and seven (7) years* of work-related experience or a combination of education and directly related experience equal to eleven (11) years* if non-degreed; some locations may have additional or different qualifications in order to comply with local requirements
• Ability to communicate effectively with audiences that include but are not limited to management, coworkers, clients, vendors, contractors, and other stakeholders
• Job related technical knowledge necessary to complete the job
• Ability to learn and apply knowledge of applicable local, state/province, and federal/national statutes and guidelines
• Ability to attend to detail and work in a time-conscious and time-effective manner *These are the typical years of experience required for this job. Working Conditions
• Generally favorable indoor office workspace, and/or;
• Various levels of environmental conditions including but not limited to project worksites and vendor/client facilities which may have temporary office space, moving mechanical parts and vibration; high, precarious places; fumes or airborne particles and extreme temperatures and high noise levels
Other Job Requirements
• Proven experience with GE-LMS100 and GE-LM6000PC equipment.
• Strong knowledge of combustion turbines and generators.
• Proficiency in using borescope and other inspection tools.
• Experience with GEK work packages and GE O&M Tech Manual.
• Competency in P&ID and F&ID.
• Familiarity with work management software programs, particularly Maximo.
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and instructional abilities.
• Ability to work collaboratively with engineering teams
Preferred Qualifications
• High School Diploma or equivalent appropriate General Certificates of Secondary Education or global equivalent preferred
• Twelve (12) years experience with installation or maintenance of controls systems
• Minimum five (5) years of trade school education or global equivalent
• License(s) and certification(s) as required
• Knowledge and experience with sophisticated hand tools and test equipment
• General knowledge of facilities systems, (including chilled water, compressed air, steam, and domestic hot and cold water) and equipment including heating, ventilation, air conditioning (HVAC), pumps, piping, valves, pneumatics, controls, motors, electrical up to six hundred (600) volts/three (3) phase, heat exchangers, and air compressors
• Ability to read and interpret building layouts, system drawings and manufacturers’ equipment specifications
• Knowledge of standard and specialized maintenance practices
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations
• Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals
• Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public
• Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume
• Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry
• Previous experience in a consulting role.
• Advanced certifications in turbine maintenance and inspection.
• Experience in electronic data management and reporting.
Salary Range
118,500 to 213,500
Market Rate
The market rate for the role is typically at the mid-point of the salary range; however, variations in final salary are determined by additional factors such as the candidate’s qualifications, relevant years of experience, geographic location, internal pay equity, and prevailing market conditions for the specific role.
