Production Engineering Manager
YOUR ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
We are looking for a Manufacturing Project Engineer to lead modernization and automation projects for equipment. As part of a multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and implementing improvement, replacement, and/or automation projects for production equipment. In your various assignments, you will be involved in both the technical execution and the justification of the projects. • Supervise and coordinate equipment replacement and automation projects, ensuring cost, quality, and deadline objectives are met. • Estimate costs and conduct analyses to justify various projects. • Provide technical support for installations and participate in system commissioning. • Coordinate the implementation and startup of projects with production and maintenance teams. • Contribute to defining the strategic vision for planning automation and equipment replacement projects. • Identify automation opportunities and conduct technology watch to propose the most suitable technologies for the projects to be carried out.
QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE ROLE
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Automated Production Management (GPA).
• 5 to 10 years of experience in managing manufacturing projects.
• Ability to work independently, take initiative to advance projects, and manage priorities.
• General knowledge of automated systems, robotics, PLC programming, machine safety, and other factory technologies.
• Knowledge of steel stamping and machining processes (an asset).
• Excellent communication skills, with proficiency in English and French. French is required. English is also required to communicate with customers outside Quebec on a regular basis.
