Electronic Hardware Certification Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilledElectronic Hardware Certification Engineerin Brno to join our Honeywell Aerospace team.

This position is responsible for performing Certification tasks in the hardware area for the development of Aerospace projects, allowing you to specialize in an exciting industry niche. You will work on a large segment of Honeywell Aerospace projects, allowing you to have a comprehensive overview and understanding of the company’s engineering offerings. In this impactful role, you will play a key part for the organisation, making sure our products are in line with the relevant regulations and standards. Honeywell Aerospace products and services are used on virtually every commercial, defense, and space aircraft. We build aircraft engines, cockpit and cabin electronics, wireless connectivity systems, and mechanical components. Our hardware and software solutions help create more fuel-efficient aircraft, more direct and on-time flights, and safer skies.

Key responsibilities:

• Perform work focused on ensuring certification in the field of hardware development for aerospace products
• Conduct DO-254 audits and create audit reports. Ensure that development activities are in accordance with aerospace industry standards.
• Coordinate certification activities with Honeywell development and QA teams, customer and certification authorities
• Support and conduct training activities in the certification area.

Key Experience & Capabilities:

• Masters or Doctorate Degree in Science, Technology or a related field or equivalent experience
• 4-5 years minimum of experience with electronic hardware development
• Experience with FPGA programming, working with microcontrollers and supporting devices (buses, circuits, etc.)
• English language for everyday communication in both written and spoken form

• Ability to coordinate resolution of findings from certification audits

• Communicates effectively to a broad range of technical and non-technical audiences including external
• Self-motivated, able to act independently within the framework of Honeywell objectives and strategies
• Ability to solve new and non-standard technical problems
