What you will be doing:

This technician will support production by performing scheduled and unplanned maintenance on building and machinery at the Mentor Medical System Leiden Site as well as independently locate and eliminate faults to equipment and plant. The maintenance technician will also be responsible for cleaning the pumping equipment and cooperate in the field of process improvements and special projects.

• Tackle both scheduled and unscheduled maintenance head-on, ensuring our production machines and facilities run smoothly.
• Find and fix faults in equipment and plant operations with your sharp troubleshooting skills—no hand-holding required.
• Take charge of cleaning pumping equipment, contributing to process improvements, and managing special projects.
• Keep our maintenance records straight and prioritize tasks without breaking a sweat.
• Roll up your sleeves and collaborate on manufacturing process improvements and tool production.
• Own the breakdown service—locate and eliminate faults like a pro across all applicable equipment and plants.
• Evaluate and fine-tune our maintenance programs and process operations, always aiming for peak efficiency.
• Stay ahead of potential maintenance issues when installing new manufacturing and utility equipment.
• Execute preventive maintenance with precision, ensuring full compliance with GMP, safety, and health regulations.
• Communicate directly and effectively with management about any business-related issues or opportunities.
• Be the go-to support for Facilities/Sodexo during off-hours, handling emergencies and monitoring as needed.
• Provide technical expertise during calibrations, validations, and day-to-day work, supporting engineering in process optimizations and improvements.

QUALIFICATIONS

We would love to hear from you, if you have the following essential requirements:

• Secondary Vocational Education in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• 2-4 years of experience in maintenance within a Medical Devices environment (or similar).
• Advanced computer skills and the ability to quickly adapt to new software.
• A strong technical problem-solving ability with a proven track record in a similar role.
• Flexibility to shift priorities as needed and the confidence to stand by your solutions.
• Experience in Electrical Engineering/ Mechanical/ Hydraulic systems, troubleshooting, and PLC knowledge.
• Proficiency in English, Dutch is a plus.
• The ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical procedures, governmental regulations, and write comprehensive reports.
