Service Operations Manager
YOUR ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
In this role, there is an opportunity to carry out complex automation projects in the energy sector. Providing excellent customer service daily, you will meet the needs of clients and ensure their satisfaction. Your expertise will be used to identify opportunities to improve system and operational performance in collaboration with clients. This role is part of the Service Unit of the local Energy Industries division (PAEN) in Mannheim. The main responsibilities include: • Independent planning and implementation of hardware and software engineering with a strong focus on process automation in the energy sector—from developing technical solutions to successful implementation across engineering, installation, and commissioning phases. • Engaging collaboration with all project participants, including project management, project engineers, clients, partners, subcontractors, and suppliers, to ensure smooth and efficient project execution. • Autonomous execution and supervision of on-site commissioning, including field and functional commissioning, comprehensive documentation, and oversight of all installation and commissioning activities. • Ensuring customer satisfaction through outstanding service and continuous support at every phase of the project. • You will be part of an engaged, dynamic, and high-performing team, where you can fully develop and advance your skills.
QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE ROLE
• Strong knowledge of automation systems and experience in energy plant automation.
• Cooperative and solution-oriented work approach, with effective communication skills in both written and spoken form.
• Self-motivated, curious, and willing to learn new technologies.
• Completed studies in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, or process engineering, or a comparable qualification with relevant work experience.
• Fluent in German and proficient in English.
• Willingness to travel, primarily within Southern Germany.
