Summary

Lincoln Electric is seeking an Additive Robotic Production Cell Operator for our Euclid, OH Headquarters. The Additive Robotic Production Cell Operator will play a key role in operating, monitoring, and maintaining robotic production systems for the additive manufacturing of parts.

This position requires working on a rotating 12-hour shift schedule, including weekends, holidays, and on-call duties. We do give preference to shift. You will be required to work every other weekend and have a 3 day weekend the following week.

What You Will Do:

Setup and Operation:

• Collaborate with Technologists and Engineers to prepare and set up jobs on additive robotic production cells.
• Use computers to operate CAD/CAM software and robotic controllers for efficient part manufacturing.
• Monitor the performance of additive robotic production cells to ensure consistent productivity, quality, and process integrity.
• Perform setup tasks such as mounting base plates, loading wire, and selecting appropriate shielding gases.

Welding Process Monitoring and Maintenance:

• Recognize welding process variations and take corrective action as required.
• Perform regular maintenance, including the replacement of wear components (e.g., drive rolls, liners, tips, nozzles) to keep production running smoothly.

Troubleshooting and System Management:

• Quickly identify and resolve system faults or malfunctions to minimize downtime.
• Document and track each part’s manufacturing process for traceability and quality assurance.

Material Handling and Equipment Operation:

• Safely operate forklifts, cranes, and material handling equipment as needed to transport materials and parts.
• Use shop tools, including grinders, plasma torches, hand tools, impact drivers, drills, and saws, for various production tasks.

Customer Interaction and Reporting:

• Interface with customers occasionally to understand their needs.
• Maintain accurate production records and ensure the documentation complies with industry standards and customer requirements.

Required Education & Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Strong motivation to learn, with a safety-conscious attitude and proactive work ethic.
• Physically capable of lifting up to 60 pounds on an occasional basis.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and basic computer skills.
• Ability to organize and maintain a clean, efficient, and safe work environment.
• Previous experience in General Manual Arc Welding (GMAW) process, with the ability to troubleshoot and address welding issues preferred.
• Must be able to obtain Semi-Automatic GMAW and Aluminum GMAW welding certification within six months of hire.
• Previous experience with robotic welding systems is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with CAD/CAM software and prior use of these tools in a manufacturing setting preferred.
