EXCITATION SERVICE SALES ENGINEER

YOUR ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Proactively serve the Excitation Installed Base in Power Generation market in the assigned territory. • Present to clients and prepare comprehensive proposals and bids for entire Service portfolio including Excitation Care, Lifecycle Management, Parts, Training, Field and Remote Services, Digital Solutions. • Visit, build relationship and engage with ABB customers in Canada and the USA on regular basis in order to understand their needs and to communicate lifecycle and service portfolio information. • Create and execute whitespace sales plan for assigned territory to ensure full IB penetration. • Collaborate and work closely with account managers, project managers, engineers and service organization in order to serve ABB clients and build trust. • Maintain and manage sales opportunities in SFDC. • Follow ABB sales process from opportunity initiation through proposal, to negotiations and order closing. Lead resolution of commercial aspects including sale terms with high level of integrity and compliance to ABB process. • Actively participate in improving sales tools: marketing brochures, pricing calculators, proposal templates, etc • Support excitation service initiatives, customer user events, marketing events.
QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE ROLE
• Minimum 5 years experience in a customer facing role: field applications engineering, technical sales for industrial/utility customers, field service or project management.
• Bachelor of Engineering degree from an accredited university.
• Desire to excel as a technical sales professional.
• Team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent business acumen and understanding of customer service.
• Technical aptitude and strong interest to learn new technologies and concepts.
• Valid Driver’s License.
• Valid Canadian or American Passport.
• Must be result driven.
• Must be able to travel min. 25% of time (approx. one week per month).
