Job Description

As a Senior Developer you will work with IoT (Internet of Things), Data Science, and PLM (Product Lifecycle Management) through implementations, integrations, customizations, enhancements, and upgrades in both on-prem and in-cloud environments. No two projects or customers are the same! Our focus is on helping customers extract value from their software solutions, not just on making the technology work. This position is 70% focused on code development / modification and 30% on troubleshooting.

This role will be based in Romania and will report into the Senior Solution Architect, Digital.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Provide customer support, including but not limited to troubleshooting, software upgrades and enhancements.
• Development of software extensions and integrations using specific APIs.
• Ensure quality of code by performing unit testing and code reviews.
• Perform intermediate system configuration and customization.
• Perform intermediate installations of tools to support development.
• Develop technical and functional specifications based on software design and performance.
• Support the data modeling and requirements definition mapping.
• DevOps development and implementation.
• Windchill and ThingWorx application development.
• Perform Data Migration (Data Analysisand Migration using an ETL process).
• Help develop technology demonstrations as needed by the broader Rockwell Automation organization.

THE ESSENTIALS – YOU WILL HAVE:

• Degree in Computer Science, Digital Systems, Software Development, or related.
• 3+ years of experience developing in any of the following Java, Python, JavaScript, C#, .NET, SQL languages, or related.
• Experience troubleshooting.
• Experience with Relational and Non-Relational databases.
• Functional support and enablement for users.
• Experience implementing system configuration changes and application enhancements.
• Experience using leading software development practices, technical documentation (requirements, functional specifications, test plans).
• Exposure to AWS or Azure cloud.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and collaborate with customers, peers, and managers.
• Fluent in English, both written and verbal.

THE PREFERRED – YOU MIGHT ALSO HAVE:

• ThingWorx experience
• Experience developing and publishing mobile applications
• Network management
• Experience working with PLM systems
• Knowledge in Oracle WebLogic Server, Oracle Fusion Middleware, or SOA
• Knowledge of JavaScript, Groovy Script, and HTML
• Experience with cloud platforms and cloud IoT tools
• Knowledge of NoSQL databases, such as Cosmos, Dynamodb or Mongodb
