Systems Drives Operations Manager
YOUR ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
In this role, you will have the opportunity to execute service work as per work instructions and in accordance with ABB quality and safety guidelines. Each day, you will deliver quality customer service planning and execute service work as per customer order and expectation. You will also showcase your expertise by ensuring customer retention by effectively communicating service work timeline and expectations. The work model for the role is: {onsite/hybrid/remote} {insert Linkedin #} This role is contributing to the Process Automation Process Industries in {insert region}. Main stakeholders are {insert main stakeholder groups if available}. You will be mainly accountable for: • Installation supervision according to manufacturer’s specifications of new equipment at customer sites • Interpreting maintenance manuals, schematics and software tools. Repairing equipment, utilizing knowledge of electronics and using test instruments, computers and hand tools • Leading workers in servicing and repair of ABB equipment. As required, instructing customer in electrical theory and operation of ABB Drives. Leading drive system commissioning projects • Consulting with engineering personnel to resolve unusual problems in system operation and maintenance • Advising management regarding customer satisfaction, product performance and suggestions for product Improvements • Learning ABB tools such as Drive Composer, Drive Windows, Control Builder, SAP, Concur, Outlook, Amex Travel Our team dynamics You will join a {insert adjectives – e.g. dynamic, talented, high performing} team, where you will be able to thrive.
QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE ROLE
• Associates degree in a related field and minimum 2 years of related work/military experience required or High School diploma/GED and 4 years of related work/military experience required
• Understanding of AC and DC drive systems
• Experience: performing field service engineering for AC and DC coordinated drive systems; and using test equipment including Oscilloscopes, Data Loggers, PDMA motor testing and CMC measurements. Work with ABB 800xA is a plus
• The candidate must be able to analyze and test system hardware and software performance applicable OEM integrated machines
• Must be available 24/7 based upon business necessity. Up to 80 percent travel required
• Ability to write detailed technical field service reports
• Ability to troubleshoot, test, repair and service technical equipment
• Comply with ABB and customer safety requirements. Complete all designated safety training on time
• Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US
