In this role, as aSenior Advanced Project Engineer, you will support the development of Honeywell’s Electric Power Generators and Motors.

You will take charge of medium complexity projects, which may involve the implementation of new technologies or applications within your technical expertise. You will be responsible for providing technical leadership and ensuring effective management of costs, schedules, milestones, customer interactions, and project interfaces. Additionally, you will lead and collaborate with various disciplines, internal leaders, external customers, Chief Engineers, and resident experts to successfully achieve program objectives.

You will be reporting to the aerospace site located at 111 S. 34th St in Phoenix, AZ. Relocation support may be provided, and currently, a hybrid work mode is available.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the engineering effort to develop electric generators and motors, including the development of work package structure and the creation of cost, integrated schedules, and milestones for components and system developments.
• Provide direction and oversight for the project team.
• Lead the prioritization of work packages, design goals and objectives, and component/system integrations.
• Oversee the preparation, review, and approval of documentation and deliverables.
• Utilize enterprise-based business tools to achieve project planning and cost objectives.
• Ensure the achievement of design objectives and requirements for development hardware and software across multiple COEs.
• Develop the work package budget to meet program objectives and drive accountability to fulfill team members’ commitments. Identify and manage work package risks.
• Develop and maintain long-term relationships with key customers to identify new business opportunities.
• Drive scope alignment within the Integrated Product Team and support change management.


Due to compliance with U.S. export control laws and regulations, candidate must be a U.S. Person, which is defined as, a U.S. citizen, a U.S. permanent resident, or have protected status in the U.S. under asylum or refugee status or have the ability to obtain an export authorization.


• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as the sciences, technology, engineering or mathematics.
• 3+ years of aerospace experience


• Knowledge of the design and analysis of rotating machinery. Knowledge of rotating electric machines such as wound field synchronous or permanent magnet motors generators and rotor is a plus.
• Experience leading the technical effort for development programs.
• Familiar with military and commercial aircraft specifications.
• Familiar with Root Cause and Corrective Action (RCCA) activities.
