Wood APAC Minerals & Metals team is currently delivering critical metals projects, including Copper, Nickel, Lithium, Vanadium, Rare Earths, and Base Metals. This portfolio of projects ranging from studies through to EPCM packages working on developments in Australia and internationally. 

Responsibilities

Wood is currently seeking a Senior CAD Administrator in order to grow its Perth Mining & Mineral group.  Reporting to the Engineering Systems Manager, the Senior CAD Administrator will provide support for CAD applications (both 2D and 3D) on projects and monitor conformance to the procedures and regulatory standards.In this position, roles and responsibilities will include, but not be limited, the following: -Providing application support to project users. Provide training and education to CAD users on the use of the Wood Intelligent CAD applications and procedures Actively contribute to the development of the intelligent 2D and 3D CAD environment including modelling, design review, reporting and drawing productionAdmin level expertise in the Bentley Plant Design products OpenPlant Modeller /Open Buildings Designer Assist with the maintenance and configurations of engineering applications across projects Apply Wood, Client, and Project standards within the engineering systems design tools General project support of Engineering Systems generally within the Mining and Metals groupProject set up/mobilisation – Assist with the development of quality procedures and supporting documentation that reflect best practice initiatives and workflows that will assist in the efficient use of CAD applications System configuration, familiarity with Databases and SQL queries 

Qualifications

About YouIdeally your career will have seen you grow within the EPCM or small/medium design engineering consultancies, whereby your career either from design, engineering or system SME has seen you specialise within the complex and varied use of a range of application of engineering systems. Your passion and technical creating a career path that sees you as integral in working collaboratively within a wider engineering division, supporting on large scale projects within the minerals and metals industry. You will also have:   Minimum 5 years’ experience supporting and customising CAD systems A sound knowledge of Plant Design Software and its applications particularly OpenPlant Modeler and P&ID software and MicroStation skills Proven ability in the use of intelligent 3D engineering delivery systems Good interpersonal skills ability to work cohesively with wider stakeholder group, building a solution focused working realtionKnowledge of VBA programming languageUnderstanding of the Open Plant data structures and the ability to add component catalogues and specifications Upholds safety standards, personally and organisationally; corrects unsafe conditions Proactively seek personal and professional development opportunities Be an active participant in demonstrating the Wood principles Willingness to learn Please note, only applicants holding valid working rights in Australia will be considered.    Benefits on joining #TeamWoodWe are committed to creating an inspired culture with diversity and inclusion permeating every corner of our global organisation.
